  1. Breaking down my 50g SCA and 20g Waterbox as part of our decision to consolidate and downsize a bit. Tanks are in good used condition, with normal wear and tear. Pictures may be viewed at https://photos.app.goo.gl/288NGg7Vwzmqnzmi6 There is one noteworthy scratch on the 50g (pictured). It is a well established tank, with green fuzzy mushrooms and GSP growing on the back, and tons of purple coralline algae. It does have a moderate amount of bubble algae on the rocks, which spent a few months unchecked after my emerald crabs were moved out. On the 20g, there is a small piece missing from plastic above the return (see picture) that does not affect function, and is not generally noticable. Prices as listed, or make offer on full setup (priority to full setup offers). Offers on coral and livestock will be considered. Motivated to sell quickly -- husband is encouraging me to consider take-all offers. Sold 50g SCA cube + stand + sump - $350 Sold Gyre 3k (only a few months old) - $125 Sold AI Prime HD with metal L-mount (x2) - $300 Sold Skimmer (x1.5/extra parts) - $50 Sold20g Waterbox AIO + stand - $150 Current USA Marine IC Pro 18" + 2 eflux pumps + controller - $200 Sold Mismatched clownfish - $20 Sold Bonded yellow watchman goby and pistol shrimp - $30 Sold Melanurus wrasse (injured eye) $20 Sold Lawnmower blenny (handfed) - $10 Sold Tiger pistol shrimp (unpaired) - $10 Sold Tailspot Blenny ([language filter]) - $10 Free to good home with other purchase Sold Regal demoiselle damselfish (x2, one confirmed female) Sold Lemon damsel Sold Blue/yellow-tailed damsel Coral/anemones/inverts Sold Rainbow BTA - $45 Sold Black Widow BTA - $150 Sold Rock Flower Anemones (x3) - $80 on old rock with unknown zoas, red duster worms, and goodness knows what else. 2. I have some upcycled, uncured purple rock. I have no idea what kind it is. Is it something you can use? If so, feel free to shoot me a PM. I'm in SW Portland. Can for scale.
  3. I have a glass 5g plain tank (touch taller than wide, need to check dimensions) and a fluval AIO 5g that I'm not using. I may be down to trade. What area are you in?
  4. I had thought about that, but for heating RODI for water changes! Seems like it should work, but haven't tried lol
  5. Saw this on CL and it cracked me up. Anyone want to take a swing at converting this to SW? https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/pet/d/port-orchard-fish-frog-snail/6970677573.html
  6. The disposable hand warmers do wonders for keeping things warm on a long drive - You'd essentially pack up your livestock in bags and ideally place them in an insulated container with the warmers, and rock in 5g buckets. You'll likely want new substrate, since stirring it up while getting it out would release excess nutrients. If you're downsizing, you could have saltwater ready to go in your new tank before you move everything (are you making multiple trips, or just one?).... otherwise, it will just take longer to get the water up to the proper temperature once you're there. Seachem Prime could help suppress spikes, and adding some Tim's or Biospira notifying bacteria should help avoid a cycle. Be sure to temp acclimate, if not drip. I'm sure there are some seasoned pros that can add to or correct this lol. Baby woke up, g2g
  7. This week, my black ice longfin girl passed suddenly. Symptoms were pretty vague - lethargy, uninterested in food, rapid breathing, and some damage to her tail. Her mate is in QT now for some general treatment as a precaution. I've never been so sad about losing a fish... Marisol loved being hand fed, and watching her dance through her nems was breathtaking. Everytime I see Marco swimming around, alone, I just get depressed all over again, so I'm looking for a possible friend for my longfin clownfish. Male is fine - they can hash that out. My dream fish would be a longfin phantom, but I'd consider other black and white ocellaris or a longfin of any color (not expecting to find the latter though). I have a lot of livestock and gear to trade, especially for the right fish - zoas, mushrooms, euphyllia, softies, montis, a BTA, 40g SeaClear tank, a 20g sump, etc etc. Shoot me a PM and we can chat. Located in SW Portland.
  8. Oh no! Man, that sucks. On one hand, he's just doing what urchins do.... but that must have been a hell of a blow :( nature is a [language filter]. Hope the rest do ok.
  9. Just saw this post on Facebook, out of OC, for free Water Hyacinth pond plants... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2239418526356132/ Might work better for your pond! Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  10. I don't know how large your water feature is, but they aren't huge leaves. I saw a cool trick on bending rigid airline tubing to control there they're able to grow, and was able to apply the idea to keep my plants from being pushed under the water by my HOB filter return flow (until they grew over, at least....) I bet you could do something similar to protect them a bit? I'll take a picture for scale once I'm a bit more awake. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  11. I honestly don't know for certain what kinds they are. Some is frogbit, I think there is some salvinia, a bit of duckweed, a bit of red root floaters, and possibly some water lettuce? I bought it initially as a mix. So far as if it can be an outdoor nix, I understand some is fairly hardy and would do ok, but I haven't tried first hand, nor could I say which would survive. If you want to try some out, definitely update me, because I'm curious! I might have to test a bit out myself.... Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  12. My floating plants have exploded, and I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in some for their own tank/second cousin's betta tank/jar of water on a windowsill/whatever. These are freebies if anyone wants them (although I never say no to houseplant clippings or frags hehe). I really just hate throwing away plants... I even feel guilty tossing my chaeto (which I do in small quantities every week or so, if anyone is looking for a start). Located in SW Portland. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  13. Can I toss you a coral frag in lieu of cash? I think I have some zoas you might like... Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  14. That is a truly terrifying photo. They're using *tools*! [emoji32] Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  15. I'd love to help, but I'm up in Portland 😞 good luck!
  16. Oh, and what type? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  17. Where are you located, and how much do you need? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  18. Sending a PM! Lots of us in Tigard, eh?
  19. This may have inspired a new cute thing to do to my husband's tank... we just picked up this frag at CNC the other day, and it is just begging to have faces added with a dry erase marker... Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  20. I'll PM you! Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  21. I would love the uv sterilizer, and the 350 and one of the 800w w/ shield heaters! Looking for cash only, or would you consider coral trades? If so, I'd love to work something out for the ATO, too.
  22. If you're in the broad Portland area, my husband and I would love to come pick it up!
  23. Oh rad! I'll shoot you a message Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
