18 months ago I put a jawbreaker mushroom in my tank. Now the rock is covered. How would to go about getting some of them off the rock? Is taking the rock out and breaking up some of it the only way? The ricordias are also growing pretty well

He probably got injured being chased by the yellow tangs when he first went in a few days ago. He was the last tang to be added but he’s now the boss and no one chases him anymore. Hopefully he’ll heal without having to take him out. I feel the stress of taking him out and eventually reintroducing him again to a tank full of tangs will be more harmful

He seems to have developed a swollen eye overnight. From what I read there isn't much I can beside providing good water quality and feeding him. Anything else I should do? not sure why it happened Hard to take a picture, he swims a lot

Tank is looking good. Parameters are better than expected (nitrate 5 and phos 0.03). Tester Corals are now looking really good. Fish stocking is officially completed and there is no more fighting. Chaeto is growing like mad, pods are everywhere on the glass and in the sump. Clarisea filter roll is rocking, nyos 160 is pulling the nastiest poop ever. Life is good

My clarisea roll hack. Stole the idea from R2R. The clarisea rolls are too expensive. $20 for 25yrd of 20 micron filter. So i ordered some “coolant filter rolls” from ebay. Ended up paying $20 for a 50 yrd roll of 20 micron filter. It fits just fine. Too bad I can’t fit the 100 yard roll. Eventually if i buy in bulk, i can get the price down to $10 for a roll of 50 yard filter and if i go through it too fast I will get a higher micron filter. Either 50, 80 or 100 micron. My goal is to only change the filter every 3 months. Currently having to change it every 3 weeks

They also have each others poop. I swear that’s what they do most of the day...eat each others poop

I feed frozen cubes and reef frenzy daily. Can I defrost 5 days worth in a bottle and keep it in the fridge or is that too long?

I have both skimmer and chaeto. I feel the chaeto is better at export but I keep the skimmer for oxygenation and pH

is it true that it will kill trochus and turbo snails but no other snails?
