Achilles is looking a lot better today. Most of the spots are gone. He's not scratching himself anymore. There is only one more spot left but it's not embedded into the skin. Looks like it's going to come off soon. I read that prazipro works pretty quickly for external flukes.

Today the achilles is scratching itself on the bottom of the tank. Upon closer inspection i think it has flukes. I did a water change and then dosed prazipro

the spots are small, around the cheeks, raised. I guess it could be HLLE. That would suck

if your hippo has ich, then it's in the DT. If you really want to get rid of ich, you'll need to run the DT fallow for a while and treat all the fish in QT. Otherwise, just get used to having ich in the DT

so my achilles has been in QT with cupramine level at 0.45-0.55 for 14 days now. Yesterday he developed some white spots around his face that look like possible Ich. Doesn't look like lymphocystis. If it is ich, would you change meds (I have some copperpower at home which I've never had to use) or should I keep on going with the cupramine for another two weeks?

So my RODI test came back with 0.014ppm of arsenic. that's weird...especially since the arsenic level from the tank is 0 I'm honestly not super impressed with ICP-analysis. I sent a sample 4/30 that they said they never received. So I sent a new sample 5/9. Somehow they ran both today and the numbers don't correlate. How can my water change that much in 9 days without a water change

it's weird my first order took a long time. probably 2-3 week shipping. The replacement took only one week

the magnet on this version looks pretty well sealed but only time will tell. I don't leave it in once it's empty anyway.

that's why I didn't buy the IM. It's more expensive and the magnet rusts It really was free shipping. Actually I damaged the cube feeder when I first tested it because the magnet was so strong and they sent me a replacement right away. Very trustworthy and highly recommended imo
