  1. For some odd reason, you have to click 'forums' on the left after clicking new content. See if that helps. While I believe you can explain that to people, it would be nice to see the default behavior change. I feel it does turn people away from the functionality.
  2. Just a bump in case I luck out and find someone heading that way. Thanks
  3. Great FTS, really enjoying the thread! Love the wiring panel in the video.
  4. Sump is nice, out of the way, less likely to break. Be sure to put it in a fixed height chamber so if your ato fails it is not high and dry and shatters.
  5. Oh I found your bubble counter on your R2R build thread, reposting here for those interested...
  6. Awesome posts guys. Reefnjunkie - You say ' I don't have to worry about my return valve plugging'. Is that because your flow rate is 12 mls / minute? Oops, I see, 12 mls per second or 720 mls per minute. You have a very high flow rate, I get it. My bad, did you all catch that? PeteRock - That is an epic picture, showing a result no one would have predicted. Tank look fantastic and alk is 4.2? What the heck!!?? Wannareef - Unfortunately your pics are tiny so I cannot admire your handiwork, although Brad's reactor sure looks nice. Reefnjunkie - How could you possibly count your bubbles? Can you at that rate of CO2 consumption?
  7. Hey old salt. Find out with a kill-a-watt, might be spendy as you suspect! Bombertech has some garage tips as he lives in colder eastern oregon. I think he does things like covering the tanks in acyrlic, utilizes insulation etc...
  8. Oh sorry, he accidentally dropped em on the elegance, they are nuked! Sheesh I am shutting off wifi at night, cannot trust a trigger...
  9. Ah that is so cool you were able to see them in the wild! Sounds like allot of fun.
  10. Some day perhaps, he is a shy guy though if I put hands in the tank. Naso tang trusts me though, daughter pets him.
  11. Thanks Mike, I really like the TLF DIY second stage reactor. Very cool idea, low cost but effective. Curious how you converted it over to the 1/4" or whatever sized line?
  12. Hey all, I bought some epic Oxx / Doug sized equipment from his sale a while back. The item I am trying to transport is a big water container (450 gallons). It is about the size of a pickup truck bed. Ssappington managed to get the first tank to me (HUGE THANKS AGAIN STEVE!). Doug has been very patient with me, but I just don't get down to Eugene often and he is running out of time to store it. Thought I would throw it out there. If anyone is down in that area, and has a truck or trailer, and happens to be heading North, lets talk maybe we can work out a deal for transport. Thanks!!
  13. Thanks again Robert I know so many more faces thanks to you taking the time to do this.
  14. Happy St Pattys Day

  15. Let's see em! What type of regulator, Co2 tank, feed method, dual chamber, flow meter, peristaltic pumps...? How do you run it? What makes it reliable? What do you watch out for to prevent crashes (clogged output, running out of CO2 etc..)
  16. That's a cool idea how many Ml's/min do you run?
  17. Bummer for sure, I did not manage to raise even one of mine to adulthood. They just slowly died off a few at a time. I bet it was frequency of feeding, thanks for sharing that tip.
  18. This has been a very informative thread, thanks everyone for sharing. I think I am making my way over to the dark side...
  19. Good luck all, I am bowing out on this one. Feeling quite fortunate to have finally won one!
  20. Sounds great, working on some options today for pickup.
  21. They are beauties! I am tapped out right now. Vanz, MrBret, Stylaster and Jase have heads from this colony. Given some time they will become available.
  22. Nice! Great to meet you and see your beautiful tank. Thanks for the yuma, very cool. Your kids were energetic and cute, they cracked me up the whole time. You have a reef fan base there. Glad they are opening up already, must be a sign of good system!
