  2. There's a pond store off 4th plain by the Toyota dealer you could check out.
  3. Got distracted watching a movie so had to turn the lights back on, everyone closed up. Here's the counts: Zoas: 17 Palys: 3
  4. I think it would be possible but you'd need 2 accurate dosing pumps and a controllable dump valve. Pump one runs a set amount of time to fill container with tank water that has probe in it. Pump two runs acid in intervals waiting for the probe to catch up. Once reaching set point, record number of intervals. Run calculation Display results Dump container with valve into waste reservoir Pump one turns on to submerge probe again. May need a rinse program. The issue is going to be keeping everything calibrated properly for the acid dose. ...I'll keep waiting for the Mindstream to come out hehe
  5. Looks great dude, those acans are lovin it
  6. Elos SV.M2 SA Hatchery diet NLS Thera +A None of my fish are picky so everyone eats any of them.
  7. I run a RF Dart also, they are super quiet and just keep on trucking (plus they have great warranties and are rebuildable by RF or yourself with a few tools). If I was going to do internal the DC pumps are basically silent as well. Water blasters are great but get spendy once you get into the higher flow rates.
  8. If you have apex already...get the DOS, baller control status on the fly.
  9. Geo seems to be the brand of choice. I use an old reef octopus and it's done me well. I don't have wall to wall sps so my reactor has a little lighter duty than some but it still has its work cut out. I do love that I literally ran it for over a year on one bag of reborn media and a 5lb tank. In that time I've only done minor fiddling with it and the tank has done great! More or less set and forget. I would get a decent controller for it either with a Milwaukee or run it off your aquarium controller. Mine runs off my ReefKeeper. For the feed pump I run it off a manifold from my return pump. Some people do it cheap with small pumps, others go fancy with masterflex dosing pumps. As said though, a lot of recommendations will come from your tank size and goals. Overall I'm glad I made the switch and I'm sure you will be too!
  10. You have pictures of the pot? I think white would look cool
  11. Yeah if it's 6" dia it's a CR140, however I believe that is what it is as it has the OTP2000 pump whereas the Cr100 is 4" and has the OTP1000 pump. Seller should verify diameter and measurements.

  13. Not sure if they changed the name but I have the same one and it's an Octopus CR-140.
  14. If you want to see reefstars in person Jason at Ocean In A Box has them over some tanks and was stocking them. Not sure what he has in stock at the moment but it would be worth checking out if you are in Vancouver.
  15. Haha thanks Jack, need something a hair bigger. The tank is 60 gallons give or take.
  16. Looking for a small in sump skimmer for my soon to be frag tank. Something along the lines of a tunze DOC or SCA301. Let me know what you have! No HOBs please
  17. On my 210 I probably average changing 25 gals every month to month and a half. I have skimmer, macro, carbon, and GFO all doing their part to keep things clean and Ca Rx and trace dosing to keep levels up. Things have been better than back when I was weekly changing.
  18. Yes and without RODI you will be re introducing the nitrates and phosphates (and all else bad in the tap water) every time you do a water change or top off. There are many budget friendly RODI units out there for around $100 that will make a world of difference.
  19. I used a flapper on my return. I thought the others had metal springs or something so the flappers were the only choice? Definitely get one with unions, I did not do that...and my plumbing is a nightmare if fixes ever need to be made lol. Saving the knowledge for the next big tank build sometime in the future.
  20. I dosed vodka for almost 2 years but turned it down so much it's not enough to really do anything but add minor bacteria amounts (it's been only minor additions for the last 6 months or so). When I was dosing it zeroed out nitrate and phos which wasn't good for the corals.
  21. Yeah srsly, there are 3 potential fathers! Better ask Maury!
  22. With 4 tangs this would be pretty much impossible. I also wouldn't want the tangs to get ahold of it and start dumpfest 2k15 :O
  23. She's looking "really pregs" now...only a matter of time.
