  1. If the entire rock can come out easily, then I would take it out and go to work on the rock....if it is a base piece, first, slap yourself for putting a super high end mushroom on a piece of base rock, then start slicing:) hahaha. I have busted up a number live rocks over the years getting cool mushrooms off....base and non base rocks:)
  2. Haven't done this in a while, but it worked in years past as a great way to diversify one's collection. So... let's do this with Beautiful Chalices. 8 people sign up, meaning you should get as many as 7 new high end chalices. Here is how this works. If you have some good sized chalices that you can divide into 7 frags, AND they are NICE colorful quality chalices, then you are eligible(you can use 2 different chalices if you don't have one large enough to make 7 frags). Send me the name AND a pic of your chalice for approval! If you know it's nice, then just post it in this thread:) If you aren't sure, send to me. Minimum size of .75” with 1 eye, Healed(frag it now!). Oh, and no duplicates, meaning if someone else already signed up to frag OME(hahaha!)then you need to submit a different chalice. We will all meet and exchange chalices with one another at a pre-set time/location(probably a local reef shop). Meetup Location: TBD - Portland Likely, unless southerners have all the chalices! We shall see! Date/Time for meetup: TBD - tentatively set for June 29, 2019. I, unfortunately, have to be the gatekeeper, so please submit to me the chalice you are fragging, then I will sign you up! We have done this in the past with SPS, but never with a chalice. So why not? 1-Mandinga - Oregon Mummy Eye 2- 3- 4- 5- 6- 7- 8- So dig deep and break out those stunners and let's make this one bada$$ swap! **Oh, and if we end up only getting 5 people, then 5 it is...but the max is 8. So don't sit on the fence and cherry pick(you know who you are!), jump on board because your super awesome submission could bring another fence sitter to the table! Let's go! Here is my submission:
  3. Smurf evening kingdom. On an off topic...at first I was thinking the clean nice white carpet was a bad idea...but white will hide all the salt stains! Ha! Good thinking. Just make all the fraggers take their shoes off at the door lol.
  4. Thank you all for not responding right away to this thread! Oh this lil guy is just too cute, if anything happens to him i’ll cry. Stay away from the overflow! Don’t jump! How many tomes have I told you to stop playing next to the vortech! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Maybe it’s time to hire a reef nannie. I always just do my ca/all/Mg dosing during feeding time...i don’t mind manual maintenance... grouped:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. The snipping tool seems to work nicely within the site...I just tried it for first time tonight.
  10. Hi, I would like to trade this clown, he is a juvenille, about 1" maybe a little bigger, and just as cute as a button. Was hoping it would pair with another clown I have...but no luck. So for now, this little guy remains in his own little fish box:) Think small corals: acans, sps, zoas, etc. shoot me some offers...only thing I need at the moment is ATI T5 36" bulbs(blue), or 2-part dosing system(hand pump and dry goods BRS) . Here is pic from ORA site, I'll try to get actual pic tomorrow morning:
  11. pm sent. Where are you located? EDIT - I checked profile....Monroe, OR.
  12. You know you have it bad when you miss your tank and can’t wait to get home...while on vacation in France! Haha been there! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Sounds ready. You do have fish as well correct? Clams are filter feeders and appreciate a little ammonia from fish waste. What inverts and fish do you have? Clams are Tastyyyyy! I have always had better luck with medium size clams. TPA had some dandies a couple weeks ago. And i have seen some absolute gems at cuttlefish evert time i visit. If you do pull the trigger, just remember to test your parameters as clams have been reported to change the uptake of Ca in tanks...I never noticed a difference personally, but if your tank is smaller you may. SPS Issues

What is your salinity at? How are you testing it? Retest with at least a 2nd source...if you are nearby i have three hydrometers i use. I’m not a fan of sps under 78deg. 78-80 is my sweetspot. Prob not your issue though. Are you using carbon? You should be. Gfo? This will help with po4...just dint overdue this. What chemicals are you dosing for Alk, Ca, Mg? And what test kits are you using? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Wait til your sps frags are growing and tank is stable. Clams are filter feeders so they don’t mind a little dirty water(fish waste...tha basic dirty water). The thjngs clams cannot tolerate: Predators!!! the list is HUGE for clam predators. Even fish that you would never think would bother a clam can! Inverts too! Unstable water-but if your sos are doing ok, clams should be fine! Ca, Alk, temp... Poor lighting-clams love intense light, the more the merrier. This isn’t really a problem in todays aquariums:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. shrimp has found a new home. He is a lobster trapped in a shrimp’s body. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
