I like it guys.

Come on you guys, if this hobby was easy everyone would do it. It isn't a cheep hobby at all. This hobby does require time as well. As far as the LFS and club support, That I think is a hole other thread. I do get bummed at least once a year for the time I have to spend. If you think this hobby is bumming you out to much, sell your live stock, dry your rock and store your equipment in the garage. After a year take another look at it. Try and keep your head up guys this isn't a easy time right now.

A few things here to look at. Whats the size and span of the floor joists? What is the thickness of the decking on the joists? How is the weight dispersed on the floor with the stand? Them should be your 3 biggest things to look at. If you need help looking at this, PM me and we will find a time for me to come take a look.

You may as well try, you allready have the top after you cut it off. But I would think it would as your not filling it all up with water.

What Doug is saying is about the best way. As a carpenter I cut boxes like that. Use the correct blade and set just at the hight for the thickness. Cut the top off as close to the brace top as you can then cut the 4" and glue the top back down. I would talk with someone that has cut Plexiglas before you do it. I just do wood.

Don't most Tangs kinda hang together anyways? My Yellow, naso and hippo all kinda hang together. I think Mostly because one thinks the other has found some food and he is missing out. I only have a 125 so there isn't to much room for them to get away from each other as well.

Them pics I am sure are not doing justice for them chalice's. I know of a few of them in there that have tons of color and look to be getting huge. I am sure its hard to not see all them colored sticks though.

I would guess red turf algae.

I wanted that light so bad and had to go a cheeper one. I should buy it all just for the light and sell the rest. But then I would just keep the light, skimmer and PH and wife would be mad at me.

Use baked baking soda to raise your KH up without playing with your PH. Try and read up on it first before you just start dumping it in there.

Yea this is happing with my bucket of salt now. Doesn't seem to have any ill affect on any thing. Have done a few 20% changes with it and my water is right on. I kinda thought it was because I started mixing it in cold cold water.

Started with a little one and now have lost control. They are starting to appear in other spots of the tank so they have to go. The whole 3x3 rock of purple with blue spots. Will pick a number late Sunday night. [/img]
