  1. Looking at the stand, is there any wood vertically going up to where the tank is sitting or wood turned and going across horizontally? I am worried that the solid wood will sag or brake away from the sides with the tank in the middle. Even 3/4" or 1" solid wood will sag from lots of weight over time. If you want them tubs I can bring them over and we can take a closer look and come up with something.
  2. I have a couple if you need. There not all too thick, as you can't carry water with them. One's 38g and the other is 18g.
  3. My guess would be that the shroom was on the shell and someone glued the shell to the rock with the shroom and the shell has come lose. The shell will drop off with some of the shroom foot and you will have a baby shroom.
  4. Thats a lot a fish, but I kinda like it. I think it looks a lot like a real reef with all them fish moving around.
  5. Guess it will be Damsel fight night at your place once you get one. They are a pretty fish but nasty. Try looking for them in the not so pleasant fish stores. There cheep and too nasty for most tanks so the good stores don't bother with them.
  6. You guys stop posting, "Share the Love"
  7. This is one nice setup if you have never been to Jake's to see it at its prime. One of the nicest SPS tanks I have seen. Someone go talk with him. He is a softy at heart and will work with you. Being that you are keeping the Vortech, That means your staying in the hobbie right? I sure hope so.
  8. I would try the boiling water myself. Its going to take a while as it will seem like your playing cat and mouse as they hide when squirting. Try and find the smallest Turkey baster or biggest syringe and kinda squirt slowly on the spot you want to kill. Not sure how well it will work on them, but what do you have to lose but time.
  9. Always fun to look down on the corals. But with the water moving it almost feels like your on drugs.
  10. Very nice Mike. The schooling fish in there are just great to see. Looks like you got a lot a corals planted in there now, can't wait see it all filled out. Not that the tank doesn't look now. I see a visit coming soon.
  11. Run carbon and try to lay something like rock between them to grown on. Nice problem to have isn't it?
  12. Enjoyed it and the company. I was even kinda tired after that one. All frags doing fine as well
  13. Yea the I got the pic just before all the lights went out. So just he actinic, my camera or me can't make the color right with them on.

    Cucumber?

I pulled one of these out of my sand bed the other night. I thought it was the only one till I got back in there this morning and found two more. You might not be able to see the little feathery feeder things on the front, but there there. They don't seem to like being dug up as I think two of them died, maybe from me damaging them. Anyways has anyone come across them in there sand bed? O not much color to them ether and have never seen them out of the sand moving or at night. Not to say that they don't. [/img] [/img]
  15. My polyp filled Sunset [/img] My other brown with purple polyps that I stunted for a few days I hope. Darn encrusting things take up to much room. [/img]
  16. I think the triumphs still hold a good resell value too. but I have been out of bikes for a wile now.
  17. I take it them are different then them Toobaflex (spelling?) worms?
  18. I am going to give a plug for Soutas. So many different corals intertwined with each other, its hard to stop looking at them all. The single huge Xenia stock is something you just don't see, and thats just the simple softy in there.
  19. Thats great to hear. Always nice to find something is still alive when you have wrote them off.
  20. Man I wish I could drink that much beer to warrant getting something like that. I guess I will have to stick with my 5gl batched for now. Sure nice stuff though. O and when is the party errr meeting going to be at your place?
  21. Always fun to meet at the clown house. Glad to see and talk with some members that I haven't seen in a wile. I had to wait till almost everyone was gone to talk with Dave, you guys keep him talking full time. Thanks again Dave for holding it at your place.
  22. Most the time is better and faster to just drain the tank and pick the fish out like that. A lot less stress on the fish and tank and faster.
