Regular plate glass should be fine. I used plate glass for the overflow on the tank that light you have now came off of and it was only 1/8th inch. If you are using 3/8s then you should be fine.

Are they on the rock in the sump or just the sump walls? If on the wall only do like Impure stated and scrape the sides. If on the rock remove the rock and torch them all off there. Rinse the rock in a bucket and put it back in the sump.

Nice tangs(laugh) When I had him he would only eat algea and that was it the Sailfin would eat whatever got thrown in the tank for food. Glad to see them doing good(rock2) Oh and the tank looks great to(laugh)

The one I have is in a grey box with no handle. It worked great for a while but then the eye piece broke but it still works you just have to jiggle it a little(laugh) But can not complain as it was free(rock2) Have calibrated it once and seems to work well for me. So Miles what is the 35PPT? Mine registers the normal numbers and the fluid I used works out to differant numbers than that. Just wondering is there something else out there?

Growth on that second one is sweet how it encrusted the whole plug. Tank shot looks sweet. So how long till the big one gets going? I want to see that light in action(whistle)

Well the 90 is finally coming down this weekend and will have a few chunks of live rock and about 40 to 50 pounds of fine argonite sand leftover. LEt me know if interested will let the sand go for 25 bucks and the rock for 60 for all pcs. There is a real nice 12 inch tall by about 15 inch wide chunk about 15 pounds plus. It has a nice little cave in the middle of it and also some holes for frags. I was going to keep it but decided on another rock at SWF (no aqua scaping with a 40 pounder(laugh)) The rock I am talking about is in the lower left corner with the sun coral on it. Can also get pics just pm me a email addy. If interested let me know and might be able to get it to the meeting on Sunday to.

I have a 90 and also a 20 or 30 gallon sump and when I do the WC I just do about 25 to 30 gallons. I also just do in monthly as it is easier that way. Tank has been running for about 6 months maybe longer and everything is doing great. SPS are even growing. Good luck with the set up.

Well got the gurgling to stop(clap) Used a chunk of PVC to slow the drain in the overflow kind of differant but it worked. Will get some pics of the new set up soon.

Thanks guys he is a awsome dog but they do have there draw backs as there average age only goes to 8 yrs. They have alot of problems with the breed. He is a real smart dog and is great with the kids he even loves the cat we have and I meen Looooves the cat(laugh) another down sideDOH!

Yes it is kind of like an external Durso and it still gurgles a little. I just want it silent or really close to it. As for the hole needing to be bigger that is my next move. I was messing around with it last night but it was late so just got home and will see what I can do.

Well am puting together a 30 cube and plumbed it with a differant type of overflow (same one Disturbed Reefer used on his cubes) Well problem is the gurgling sucks so either I need a bigger pump or put a gate valve or ball valve on the return. Is this wise? I do not have any other way to drain it so if the valve plugs up I gues I am sol and water gets on the floor. Anyway give me all your suggestions. Thanks! Scott

I would go 14K I think that 20K that was in there was to blue. I really liked the color with only the MH on but the corals did not grow to much with it. I am going with a 14K on my new 250 MH.

Yes since the Giants beet the Packers(flame) I was rooting for the NFC team so glad to see they pulled it out. If they would have lost I would have been one pissed of defensive coach. The defense played a great 3 quarters then laxed a little in the 4th but hey no one is perfect. Hell the offense only had a good opening drive then the 4th quarter. As for the adds a few good ones I liked the tire company with the animals screaming. Also like the add with Shaq in it as a jockey.
