  1. Sorry to hear about the rough fish luck and the unhappy spa. The surviving coral is looking quite nice however so hopefully you have turned the corner.
  2. Man - you must have a large garage... that is quite the collection! Guess you need somewhere to keep all those tangs!
  3. Hey Brad - I think this is Rolekii's old CR6 setup if that helps. It has tempted me a few times but the footprint is a bit too large for my system and would be overkill anyway. Sweet deal!
  4. Thanks! Good luck with your build. Will keep an eye open for a thread on it.
  5. No kidding... now I am worried that I may have jinxed myself just by posting this update! (finding some wood to knock on)
  6. Everything I got from you last trip is doing great. May have to come out again and see what I missed!
  7. Quite the dream tang list! Just missing a lineatus (clown) and a mimic or two ? Wish I had room for a couple of those.
  8. Current inverts include a cleaner shrimp, a couple of peppermint shrimp, emerald crabs, assorted hermits and snails, a sand-sifting star, a sea cucumber and a brand new clam (thanks again Jeff). I don't have a lot of photo-worthy coral but the collection is mostly SPS including the usual suspects - four different birds nests, several pocillipora, stylos, millis, montis, psamacora, and assorted other acros (Thanks Bert, Andrew, Holly, and Greg, Jeff and Terry). There are a few other odds and ends as well including acans, favia, leptos, chalices (thanks Kim!), and assorted zoas and mushrooms (thanks Scott!). After several months, things are finally starting to hit a groove and show both growth and some nice color. Keeping my fingers crossed that the trend continues and I will eventually have to start trimming and moving things around to create space (first world coral problems).
  9. Hard to tell from that but the current stocking list includes a clown tang, red sea sailfin, melanarus, green coris, ruby headed fairy, blue star leopard, 3 lyre tail anthias (one male, two females), marine beta, starry blenny, fork tail blenny (thanks Cherany!), diamond goby, and a pearly jaw fish. Here are a couple of them...
  10. Haven't updated in quite a while so thought I would add some pics. Tank is too long for a single FTS so here is a series...
  11. Congrats! Looks like they are having a little tang conference.
  12. I assumed this might happen but wonder then how folks maintain the really elaborate mixed zoanthid rocks... do they carefully "prune" those to try and keep established borders or, given enough time, to they all end up overrun by the same type? I guess it depends on how slowly is slowly...
  13. Hmm. Not sure what you are referring to but there is some weird clump of orange stuff in your tank that you might want to have checked - looks like it could be dangerous ? Darcy loves those BTW so don't leave her alone with it - might go missing.
  14. I want to know who changed the thread title ? Now folks probably wonder what we were even joking about. Trickster!
  15. Cats have a tendency to pick their slaves... I mean owners. You must have looked like a sucker... I mean conscientious owner. (Spoken as someone who has three) sorry for the cat thread jack ?
  16. Man - it would take ours a long time to work that off with belly pets. Does it count if they scratch or bite you in the process? Any updates on the leak situation? Hope Marineland steps up.
  17. Looks great too! I completely forgot that was the base rock in you DT. GLWS.
  18. Thanks for the update Bert. I hope they do get one of the facilities open to retail soon - I really appreciate their attention to fish health and QT protocols. Agree with Holly though, unfortunate name abbreviation - totally expected this thread to be about something else ?
  19. Sounds like you may have weathered the storm. Hope everyone manages to keep their cool - will make for a great collection.
  20. Just as awesome in person! Thanks for the killer clam Jeff... those lineatus and scott's fairy super males are ohhhh so tempting - stunning fish.
  21. Very generous of you. Wish I had room for more rock - been thinking about a rock flower nem.
  22. Sounds good so far. Hope it works out. Would love to have a purple in mine but afraid to disrupt the equilibrium at this point.
