matt
So almost a year ago I bought Randle's old 70 cube from a member on here or Facebook, I don't remember! Haha any who I got it home and it was in rough shape. By no fault of the person I got it from it was neglected and needed a good scrubbing. So I got it all cleaned up. Before After It still has the plumbing for a closed loop. I didn't want one so I sealed off the bottom holes. Then made a new manifold for the returns. I than had wanareef build me a sump. I feel that he did an amazing job on it! And there is the lights..... I went with 3 AI sole blues, 3 AI primes and finally settled on a ati 24"x8 bulb dimmable t5. This light is amazing! I really doubt I will ever go back to led again. Now that I have the room to do it. I am putting the sump in my garage. First I had to pull the wires through the wall. I do plan on making the hole look better. All clean!! Muly new sump is a rubbermaid 100 gal. I plan on putting a 20 long as a frag tank and more things down the road. As of right now this is my mess. Time is hard to find with 4 kids but it will get there. sent from a Samsung note 4
Paratore
I love cubes! Your tank looks awesome, I'm interested to see how your garage sump turns out. I've been thinking about doing the same thing down the road:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
matt
I forgot the rock work! The main piece is just about 100 pound piece , with some smaller pieces mixed in to. sent from a Samsung note 4

nanoreefer17
Love the tank. This is the exact tank/light combo I am looking to upgrade to next! Keep it up Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
Higher Thinking
Great work man! Love the explanations and photos. What are you doing with the original sump you had built?
TheClark
Love it, love that sump, big fan of a garage fish room its my dream too.
matt
I plan on putting it back under the tank and putting the sides back on. That way later down the road I can sell the tank as a setup. That is after I upgrade! I got 10 galons of water in the new sump tonight! About 80 more to go. I still have a bunch of plumbing to do. sent from a Samsung note 4

matt
So I have been slowly working on the sump. I got it filled and mixed. I got the frag tank stand built and now I am working on plumbing part. I am hopping to have it done tonight but we will see I got these on line. You drill a hole in the sheet rock and they thread in to it. They are super slick and cheap! sent from a Samsung note 4

Jeramy
This is so awesome. I really love the Idea of a sump that is larger than the display. matt
It will be nice to have full access to my skimmer and pumps. As it stands now I have to unhook everything and pull the sump just to get my skimmer and return pump out. sent from a Samsung note

badxgillen
Everything is panning out really well, no future sump upgrades just max it out form the get go. I wish I had that kinda room to fiddle around in my sump. I would say that is half of the reason that sump maintenance is daunting is that it is a tight fit...For most people. Things look real good man.
