  1. Dove Lewis is great. VCA is great. Cat Care Professional is great. Even Tigard banfield is a good place. I had options not everyone gets. My cat was stage 4 renal failure for some time along with other issues. I made the call when vet visits a month apart showed almost a 1lbs weight loss down to 5lbs. In her prime she was almost 13lbs of Maine Coon fluff. She didn't seem in pain but would hardly eat, and in the last week or two her water intake dropped significantly. The last week it was mostly chicken nuggets from McDonald's.
  2. Is it just a goldfish? Could go in my mom's pond with the others
  3. 3m makes glass polishing kits. Key is to use a lot of running water while doing it. I used to have to polish original glass for muscle car restorations. It's a pain and takes a lot of elbow grease. Don't concentrate in the area of the scratch or you will see a defect area when done. Kinda blend it out.
  4. That's a nice favia colony. I can't get mine to do anything but sit there.
  5. I used Compassionate Care too. Rebecca was exceptional and highly recommend her. She allowed my cat to finish sun bathing, ate some chicken nuggets, drank water from her favorite place(the sink) and settle into her cat bed at the top of the stairs. Then waited for us to give the ok. Very respectful, listened, calm, quiet. When possible I recommend, and will use, in home euthanasia. Way less stress than dragging a pet to a crowded vet with barking dogs. Especially cats. I also highly recommend Family Animal Services for cremation. I was originally going to use dignified but they have serious communication issues and their website says one thing they do another. They make you have an appointment for witnessed cremation that may be days or weeks out. And it's not 7 days a week like they say. Family Animal Services was not open Sunday but Mary Kate let me bring Crazy in and place her in their private room with her belongings. She cleaned her up for me, thank you Mary Kate, and took a clay paw print and ink paw prints for me.
  6. I have a ghost skimmer on a nuvo 20 that works excellent, better than the skimmer on my red Sea max nano. Been problem free for over 6 months.
  7. I saw that. I tend to not borrow stuff. If I need it I buy it or do without. Too much to go wrong borrowing stuff, having it crap out, then being responsible for it.
  8. I moved the red planet up about 2". Can't go any higher. It's now top dead center under the two ai primeHD I have. It's close to a stylopora and bird's-nest. Is that an issue? There are 3 places on the old rock it had encrusted onto but it's not by blastoma now.
  9. Bump. $1500 or best offer for tank only. I can meet at my storage unit in Vancouver or I can pick it up on a Sunday . Still have new simplicity dc120 skimmer and dc1050 Eflux return pump too. And 40lbs of new caribsea liferock. Had to put my cat down which took a big chunk of spare money to do.
  10. Thank you for the words. I'm a cat person. So much so that my girlfriend rescued a 9 year old fatty from a shelter and less than 2 months later had a blockage that I paid $8k plus to correct. I've rescued and home a few cats. One I found in the middle of the street at night that was no more than 5 weeks old. Found another in a dumpster. Took in my Grandma's cat after she passed, also a Wisconsin cat. Found a very unhealthy dog in the woods outside woodland wa that I rehomed. Went to the same home as the kitten found in the middle of the street even. I've been a magnet for finding animals in need of a home. Needless to say I no longer have a budget for expanding my tanks as that was used up today 😿. I still have the reefer 350 I need to re-home.
  11. Rest in peace Crazy. TOD 12:06pm 10/28/18 at home in peace. Best cat ever. She got me through some very rough times over the last 19 years. Born in Wisconsin, adopted her out of Eau Claire Wisconsin when I moved there for my senior year of high school. She will be missed by everyone, she was one of a kind. I wish her Godspeed over the rainbow bridge to be reunited with her best animal friend, a shih tzu name Sen Chen, and also my Grandma S. and my Dad. I'm sure my Grandma is carving her up a steak as I'm writing this. Or she's using herself as bait to catch a bird. You will be missed Crazy and I will see you again some day.
  12. That's are rare form of honesty in today's world.
  13. I would kill to live that close to Glacier National Park. My favorite. Along with Waterton lakes, Banff/Jasper. If I could make a living up there I'd move. And that is one nice tank. Must be hard to find stuff local. Missoula is a bit of a drive.
  14. Yes please. I work Saturday's so I'll never make it 😞
  15. I was thinking on tanks that big having thick glass gussets cut for the 4 corners and silicone them in, would double as a screen top holder instead of those stupid plastic holders. Would add quite a bit of strength to the top corners.
  16. So are these tank not reliable? Was thinking of getting a 150dd but now I think not.
  17. The Cali tort must be a lower light sps as it's at least tripled in size in like 2 months even with alk swings. And it's a bit more purple than it was when I got it. Been on sand bed up till last week.
  18. It's actually pushing the blastoma out not the blastoma harming it. I will move the blastoma somewhere else or trade it in, limited room in this tank. Then move the planet over to the hole the blastoma is in. I turned the lights up a bit though they are still on acclimation mode I just turned the acclimation percent down.
  19. My Cali tort has tripled in size in a few months. Just moved it up off sand bed a week ago. Now it's the same height as the red planet. Looks green but it's mostly light purple and the main base is green.
  20. I understand Bayer is not qt but it kills bugs. From all my reading 45 days is not long enough to qt for ick either.
