  1. I've got lots I can trade from tools to boat to home theater to labor to hydroponic equipment. Anything you are looking for?
  2. I have a brand new, never seen water reefer 350 in black. I bought this then a bit later bought my first house. I need money for roof repairs before rain comes. It's still in boxes, was opened to remove sump for easier moving is all. Comes with a simplicity dc120 skimmer, Eflux DC 1050 return pump, and 40lbs of caribsea life rock. All of it is new. Bought from a local shop. Would like $1700 for it all but open to offers or part trades. But need mostly cash. It's in storage in Vancouver so I do not have pics of the tank.
  3. Do you still have the 150? What's the age? Any possibility of trades or part trades?
  4. Where are you located? Interested in a bunch of Coral, gyre, ai lights, odds n ends, etc...
  5. Nice tank. Awesome pics. Would you mind sharing your light schedule?
  6. Moved cleaner shrimp from my girlfriend's tank to mine, again. Got her some baby ones as replacement. Hope they don't kill my conch.
  7. Maybe I'll order a salifert alk kit tonight.
  8. I'm willing to participate. Could get my girlfriend to also, she's got a nuvo 20. How do we vote? What kind of buy in are we talking about?
  9. That's a really nice tank. Wish mine would look that nice. How many gallons is it?
  10. I had a file fish that would destroy aiptasia. And zenia. I put an extra zenia colony in my tank so he'd leave the other one alone. He ate it clean off the rock, never grew back. Then he ate my zoas.
  11. I might stop at CNC tomorrow also. Especially if I can catch these two over grown cleaner shrimp, now where's my stupid clown trap(bottle trap). Never done a grow out. Would be interested in trying as long as it's not zoas. I'll be placing last so I hope there is a prize
  12. The Clark, you might be on to something. Reef crystals is supposed to be higher in ALK but mine test low with red Sea kits. Both the foundation pro Ca/KH/Mg and the Marine care. Wonder if red Sea kits are not good even though they expire over a year out. I know I had to buy the algae control kit to get proper no3 readings as the Marine kit I have always registered well over 20 even with new water.
  13. What I find interesting is the two sps I have, have been bullet proof through all this. They keep growing although slow. They've lived through two months of pig deworming for flatworms, blackouts, tank moves, etc... I have lost other sps before, and a clam, but these two keep going. Not sure what they are. Due to the small tank i am ok with slow growth but I'd like them to be open. Maybe it's a flow thing. I have two Eflux 660 wavemakers in there. They kinda suck, they won't run below 50% even after cleaning, won't recommend or buy these again. Even on high they don't seem to move a whole lot. I tried rodi dipping once and lost zoas after a 3 minute dip. Probably not the fault of the dip. Now I only rodi rinse my snails/crabs. But I have used Bayer and nothing comes off but pods. I do have those a-hole vermatids but only a few that I crush to death whenever I see them and my peppermint cleans up after. I have been removing the few astrerina stars that I see as I've read they can eat them. I have 25 lbs of life rock and the same in caribsea sand if that helps and I run carbon 24/7 and replace it every month or two and rinse in rodi every other water change.
  14. I've been trying to keep alk at 7.3 ish since that's about what my reef crystals comes from obsessions at when I test it. 1-2 ml twice a day to keep it there for last two weeks. My sps seem to like it, along with most everything else except the zoas. I might start buying just rodi and mix my salt when I need it. I've got a big bucket of reef crystals that needs to be used then I'll go back to salinity as someone gave me a bucket and those parameters always tested better.
  15. Light is kinda like Saxby I guess which is real popular. It's just not as intense and a little more basic with the ramping and curve. BTW, I have ai primeHD lights. This setting is very white to my eyes, not much blue till the end of ramp down or beginning of ramp up. I tried nano Karen's profile for a bit off the ai signature site but none of my Coral liked it except my trumpet, which likes everything except my clowns.
  16. My zoas have been melting recently. Have dipped in reef dip, no help. Coralrx not effective. Peroxide seemed to help. Noticed the stalks are almost transparent on some. No3 about 12, po4 about .12, salinity 1.025, have had an ALK issue but dosing 2ml twice daily is keeping it around 7 to 7.6 dkh, mag 1480-1500 or so, cal 440-480. One colony was growing then closed up and shrunk. Using Dan's reef v7 light setting with 50% acclimation which seems to be helping sps growth and my trumpet, blastoma, chalice, etc but now my once fluffy acans are not so fluffy. Using reef crystals that measures 7.3 dkh, 1600 mag, 500 cal at 1.025 from a local store. Do weekly 5-6 gallon water changes. Top off with rodi.
  17. Stupid clowns started hosting my trumpet instead of their big rbta. The male doesn't let the female in the rbta so she claimed the trumpet I guess.
  18. Thanks. Didn't think about googling that, thought it would be linked at this site.
  19. Where do I find out information about fragfest? Can't seem to find anything.
  20. Cyano. Had it for awhile after cycling. Was able to vacuum it out a few times and it never came back.
  21. First time on a forum. This tank was a splurge, not really planned. I went into CB's tropical a little over a year ago for a small tank to house my mom's large pond goldfish for the winter. Walked out with a RedSea max nano and no home for the goldfish. They did winter over just fine, even had babies. Got 20 lbs of caribsea sand plus same in the cycling rock he keeps. Think it's caribsea life rock. Set it up, waited for water to clear then a week later was told to add biospira and a couple of Wyoming White clowns to cycle. I'll be flamed, I didn't know any better, won't cycle again with fish after researching over the last year. They lived and are paired. Let it run for a month and went on Black Friday to a couple places and picked up some Coral. Just a small leather tree, small leather mushroom, brown finger leather, generic green zoas and a small stylopora. All have grown except zoas grew then declined recently. Have a variety of acans that do ok and a blastoma. I've lost many Coral since then that I purchased. Mostly sps. I've got some hammers and frogspawn, pink bird's-nest, other zoas that are not doing so hot, couple sps seem to be growing slowly. Leathers all need to be fragged again. I have a rbta that split and has grown again. My clowns host it, and my trumpet. Trumpet has doubled in size but slowly over the last 9 months. Tons of snails and crabs, which are really my favorite part of the tank. Except when crabs knock stuff over. Have 2 clowns, possum wrasse, tail spot blenny, yellow watchman goby. I had a falco hawkfish and a aiptasia eating file fish but they took a liking to zoas so they went away. I run carbon, and some ecoBAKez sticks. 100 micron socks changed at least twice a week. Weekly 5 gallon water changes. Eflux wavemakers that I won't buy again, they seem to slow down even after cleaning. I can't run them below half or they stop. I currently have two ai primeHD over the tank as I upgraded my girlfriend's nuvo 20 with a Hydra 26. Not sure I run the right program but the one I ran for months before didn't seem to work. It's a Dan's reef v7 that I lowered peak across the whole range.
  22. Did 5 gallon water change, measured big 3 couple hours later. Mg 1520, dkH 7.3, Ca 450
  23. I've been to cnc, all things aquaria, upscales, CB's, saltwater obsessions, and woodys seahorse. My water comes from obsessions and it's finally coming in at 1.025 after many weeks of being 1.030 or slightly less and me having to mix rodi to get it down
  24. I don't trust any stores on the east side where I am, they are kinda shoddy. Next time I head to the west side I'll take some to Cuttlefish and corals. I have all red Sea kits
