Hawaii did it too for sunscreen with certain chemicals. I think it's a great idea. Why pollute the waters directly around the reefs. Just like the Cruise ship that dumped thousands of gallons of waste water on the great barrier reef.

Do these have to stay on the frag plug? I tend to remove mine and stick it in a hole in the rock. I may be able to squeeze in tomorrow evening.

They kill conchs, at least one does. Like the 4th or 5th one. Were in my girlfriend's tank and she lost a few so moved them to mine and a week later they feasted on my fighting conch. One tried to kill a trochus but I fended it off with a plastic stick. So I'm gonna trade them in for little baby ones. These are large ones I've had about a year.

Ha, never thought of that. I tried food in a net but just catch fish.

What's the best method to catching cleaner shrimp. When I use a bottle trap I just catch clowns, repeatedly. I'd rather not remove rock/Coral as my clowns are nesting so I think they are about to breed.

In my pond I use cal pumps, far superior to danner mag drive pumps. Been going over 10 years, been frozen solid, clogged, run dry, etc.... Mag drive lasted less than 2 years and was never frozen or run dry. But that's a pond.

Unfortunately I can't call in sick Saturday's with what I do.

Unfortunately I don't have a tank that big. Working on resealing a 60 cube for my girlfriend though but it'll be a bit before it's done.

I didn't know that. I've only been in the hobby a year or so. Went in for a small tank to hold pond goldfish for the winter, walked out with a red Sea max nano. I did a rodi dip on zoas once for about 5 minutes, they never opened again and dissolved away so I never did it again.

I use Bayer dip now for all new Coral. I started with reef dip cause I didn't know any better. Then moved to coralrx then Bayer. When I dip these nothing comes off except maybe a few copepods.

Params stay stable. I've got my alk swings under control by adding 1-2 ml alk twice daily. Nitrate around 12, po4 .12. adding 1/4 ml no3po4x daily along with vit C per the huge vitamin C thread

I've dipped with all sorts of dips. They slowly close or shrink to nothing. Peroxide dipping has helped the most. They either get a hard algae on them that doesn't scrub off then stay closed or they just slowly shrink until gone. I can grow hammers, rbta, the few sps I have grow slowly, stylopora grow slow, my bird's-nest was growing but now has some green hard algae or something that has killed off a little bit, came from below where it gets no light. What sucks is I like zoas more than anything except maybe acans and my trumpet. My trumpet is always growing even with clowns hosting it and making it mad.

Tank only means the tank, sump, stand, and whatever came with it when I bought it.

Welcome aboard. I just joined a bit ago after being recommended by cuddle fish. Now I'm partaking in an sps grow out that I will win last place on 😂. How do you like the Eflux 660 wave maker? I have two in my max nano and I have to constantly clean them as they lose flow real fast and don't like to run below 50%, they just stop. I think the motors or controller are too weak for what they do.

Can it be held till this Sunday and I'll get it when I pick up sps from cnc?

It's only 300-500 gallons and would be shared with a half dozen other goldfish up to about 2- 8" or so. They winter over ok if I break and remove ice when it gets nasty.
