  1. The bulkhead worked perfectly for my magnesium container. Thanks @PetVet!!
  2. You should probably contact Red Sea support to see if they can send a replacement hinge. There are a few online stores that sell replacement parts, but it seems they only sell a complete kit of cabinet hardware, not the individual parts: https://www.aquariumpart.com/Red_Sea_Reefer_Max_Cabinet_Hardware_Kit_42179_p/rrs42179.htm You can probably find a hinge at local hardware stores, but not sure if the holes would line up.
  3. Can you post a photo or video of the hinge with the door open? I’m curious to see if it’s pulling away from the door or cabinet wall, or if the hinge itself is pulling apart.
  4. Looking good! How long has this tank been running?
  5. That is hilarious and awesome! I would have loved to hear that conversation. You should have asked them what their water parameters are! 🤣
  6. I'm trying to find a 1/4" bulkhead with push connect fittings on both ends. I've already checked Home Depot and Ace, but no luck. I can find them online, but only in 10-packs, and I only need one. Anyone know of a local source to buy one?
  7. Yes, I'm also amazed at how much coraline considering the tank is only 14 months old.
  8. There seems to be a technical problem with images on the forum. I just reported an error to @Chief and @TheClark because I couldn’t upload any new images, but it now appears we can’t view existing images either.
  9. @Chief @TheClark I’m getting errors when trying to upload any images to the forum: ”There was a technical error communicating with the storage server” Any idea what’s causing this?
  10. There's a picture in the original post at the top of this thread. It's already been identified as ulva.
  11. Here's a top-down video of my tank without the lid and the pumps temporarily off. It's a really nice view from above.
  12. Neptune just announced their new Version 2 ATK. It includes newly designed optical sensors and a new PMUP. The optical sensors are now more resistant to water damage (though I've never had any optical sensor failures yet with the six running on my system for over a year), and the PMUP now features failsafes for running dry or overheating, and more quiet operation. No price increase. All the components are also available for purchase separately. I've had several PMUPs fail (but all covered under warranty), so I'm glad to hear of these improvements.
  13. I manually removed as much as I could, and took a toothbrush to the spots on the rock where it was growing. I'll see how long it takes to grow back. I also found a lot growing on the magnet bracket of my gyre. I swapped it out with my spare gyre for cleaning.
  14. Oh, that's right...I should have known better after getting that latest mystic sunset monti from you! 🤣
  15. Just curious...what is your return flow rate?
  16. Maybe if I cut down on feeding him nori he'll figure it out...
  17. Lefty photo-bombed my macro mushroom shot:
  18. I have a new type of algae showing up on several rocks in my tank. It has a flat leaf or ribbon shape about 1/4" across. It comes off easily, but still leaves a small part stuck to the rock and grows right back quickly. Nothing in my tank seems interested in eating it. (Kole tang, emerald crabs, snails, etc.)Can anyone help ID it, and any recommendations to eradicate it?Here are my parameters:Temp = 78Salinity = 1.026pH = 8.0 - 8.4Alk = 8.2 dKHCal = 420 ppmMag = 1350 ppmNO3 = 4 ppmPO4 = 0.03 ppm
  19. @CrabbyCrabs Comments like yours have no place on these forums. I hope you were only joking, but even then, your comment was completely inappropriate and offensive. Reported.
  20. When I was a teenager and training to get my drivers license, I had to drive my mom’s 1976 AMC Pacer. Not something I’m proud of.
  21. Did you finally put your plumbing together? Just curious to see what you ended up doing.
  22. Looks like a lobophyllia to me.
  23. Sorry, I can't say for sure what my flow looks like because my refugium sits above my sump filter sock chamber, so that blocks my view. But from my return pipe flow meter, I can tell you it's flowing at 400 gph. You're welcome to borrow my endoscope if you like, or I could stop by with it sometime since you're close by.
