  3. The Neptune GRO is only 20 watts. You'd probably need like 10 of them aimed at a parabolic mirror to focus their intensity for a system sized like yours. 🤣
  4. It will keep rolling for about 2 weeks, then it will just be a giant clump spanning multiple chambers in that sump with barely enough room for the pods to move around...

  7. Oh no, was that post something I did by mistake? If so, I was unaware of it.
  8. I wondered where you were yesterday, but it has been so long since I've seen you that I thought perhaps you were there and I just didn't recognize you. 🤣 Sorry you missed out, but at least you can still watch Eli's excellent presentation we recorded for YouTube. Link posted above in a previous reply.
  9. It was definitely a team effort! Not bad, considering we’re all out of practice with such infrequent meetings.
  10. Thanks to all who attended in person and through Zoom. For those who missed the meeting, or if you'd like to re-watch Eli's presentation, you can view it on our new YouTube channel:

  12. You'll probably need 3 of them for coverage over your new tank. You'll also need the four of us to come back to help you lift them!
  13. Here's a documentary on the massive aquarium's construction:
  14. Check out this article showing the Orphek lighting systems used in the largest public aquarium in Europe: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/amazonas-500-led-lighting-is-over-the-tanks-of-nausicaá-the-biggest-aquarium-in-europe.850/
  15. I just published a new tutorial on the Neptune DOS. It's sort of an "everything you ever wanted to know about the DOS" in one place. Take a look: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/neptune-apex-tutorials-part-9-dos.849/ And it's the latest addition to my series of Apex tutorials: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/authors/suncrestreef.93940/
  16. That was a well-planned move! Congrats on your new setup.
  17. I'm not the strongest brute here, but willing to help. Do you have suction cups to assist in the move? If not, I may know a source to borrow some. What time on Wednesday are you thinking?
  18. Bump... The meeting is two weeks from tomorrow! I'm looking forward to an educational presentation, seeing some familiar and new faces, and delicious food!!! Please remember to RSVP in this thread if you haven't already but plan to attend in person.
  19. Great summary. Your dedication is paying off.
  20. Many people bring frags to swap at these events. @Emerald525 can you clarify if you will have a tank where people could float their bagged frags during the meeting?
  21. We have a real competition going now!!!
