  2. i will have a 3'x6' piece of the brs screen by the end of the weekend. free to good home, or even not so good a home. its 2 months old, just cut it a little crooked. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. hey, PM me your contact info. We have a little bit of AC units (50 tons worth) that sometimes need attention. thanks! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. acrylic will not work, it will warp and look horrible what are the exact dimensions? i may have a piece of double wall polycarbonate big enough just laying around. also, i am remaking the screen top to my DT so i will have a big piece of 1/4" plastic netting in a couple days. you would just need to get some parts from home depot... like $10. 5. well, i tried to make one of those amazing aquascapes like you see on the internet. All i managed to make was a big mess. lol. I was constantly trimming and accidentally ripping plants out. Maybe my hands are too big for a planted tank?? They can be super duper cool if you are good at it. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  6. omg. planted tanks are the polar opposite of easy. talk about maintenance!! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. lol. GO HAWKS!! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. yes!! There are like 19 adult cichlids in there. The best part is that all I ever do is feed them. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  9. Its cool to get to know what people do!! I received a wildlife science degree from OSU and then 3 years in the peace corps primarily working with the EU on getting new national parks off the ground and lots of environmental education and alternative livelihood projects. Upon returning to the US I spent a little over a decade as a wetland biologist/restoration ecologist and had projects all over the west coast. I got tired of consulting and about 5 years ago decided to grow marijuana full time. So now i own and manage a 7,000 sq ft production facility in NE portland. So now I am part engineer, part electrician, part permit cordinator, part botanist and full time baby sitter. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. i have "the frat house" which is a 240g african cichlid tank and the wife has a 10 gallon pea puffer tank. i used to have plants in the frat house but just like a frat house, they destroyed them so I took them out. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. when is it?? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  12. well. i wouldnt say nicely.. its different shades of green. I put some uncured live rock in there which caused phos to spike and therefore algae. Had like 6 weeks of testing and dosing lanthium chloride to keep things in check. Your tank looks cool as well!! what kind of fish in there?. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  13. lol. yeah 8 out of 15. my phos has stopped jumping around which is nice. Need to work on tearing down my frag tank and plumbing it into the system. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. figured i would post a pic so i can look back and be thankful the green rock stage is over. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. i LOVE LOVE LOVE my geisemann spectra. the par values are soo even i thought my meter wasnt working at first. here are the panels on my steel tank. held in place by magnets and corner braces. sounds like a great build! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  16. unfortunately i have a joe already. joe and "derpy joe" 11yo names for a pair of cardinal fish. mr fins though... thats pretty good!! I am a little worried about him getting too established and becoming a bully as my plan is to add four more tangs (powder blue, blond naso, achilies, and one more). I am going to add them all at once and also take a bunch of live rock from the fuge and temporarily add it to the tank to try and "reset" the tank hierarchy. This has always worked well in my cichlid tank which is an all male battle zone. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  17. I am thinking maybe Herbert. I have never seen a fish attack seaweed with such vigor. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  18. i borrowed them from another member. doesnt feel right just passing his info along. the club should look into having two pairs on hand. they really do work well.. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  23. You should be able to get it out. not fun by any stretch of the imagination but doable for sure. going to be a sweet set up for sure. i sooooo want a huge peninsula tank but im saving that for my "forever" house. congrats Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  24. congrats! you going to polish the scratch out? If you want, i still have the felt wheel and cirium oxide that will be neccessary if you want to give it a go. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  25. hey gang, I recently bought a bottle of formalin and honestly, its enough to treat every fish in the entire state. it only takes 1ml per gallon for a dip. I have read that it doesnt last forever so if anyone wants some to add to their QT arsenal hit me up. From what i have read it is the only reliable meds to stop brook.. cheers Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
