  1. I have some of the BRS accelerator and it does work good. I feel weird spraying a frag with it, but hasn’t bothered anything. I rinse it off before dropping into tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ok, the two are spoken for and sent a PM to them. If something falls through, I’ll repost. I can probably put another one together, but slightly different if someone is interested. Have plenty of hammer, torch, and grape monti! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have two of these available. Each pack will get: 1 multi head green with purple tip torch 1 multi head hammer 1 blue stag acro 1 monti setosa 1 large Idaho grape monti frag I’ll toss in a free orange monti cap frag and grubes gorgonian frag First buyer will get to pick their frags! Located near n Mississippi ave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Rock is gone, but ammonia reagent is up for grabs in the rare chance someone has a Hanna ammonia checker! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Alright, it’s all yours but the one pukani piece is for mr @pdxmonkeyboy. I’ll leave the box on my front porch so you can grab anytime. I’ll pm you the address. Brian- I’ll bring your whopping one rock to the next meeting plus I’m forcing some red sea veggies on you [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well if John bought it, I must be on the right track! LMK how you end up configuring it. Maybe the BRS controller will have tighter control for you. I want to give it another try, but gave up after the first evening of the temperature roller coaster. The BRS controller would change like .1F when heaters were on but Apex temp probe would go up a half degree. So I’d have over 1.5F swings when the Apex has about .5F swing. 7. Yea, that’s the trade off here.....having some redundancy or adding another layer of complexity that could also fail. But I guess there is a bit of luck wrapped up in the hobby! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Two stage heating, that’s a first! If the Apex gets stuck on, do you rely on the internal heater controller as a backup? I’m using just the finnex elements with no built in controller. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’ll let you know if something falls through! You have to buy my truck to get the motor oil! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Good eye! If@matteo doesn’t pick it up I’ll let you know. I wonder if those hungry tangs will eat those red sea veggies? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. For the last 4 years or so, I’ve been controlling my two 300 watt finnex heaters with only my Apex and finally added some redundancy to make sure my tank doesn’t get cooked bu a stuck relay. So I picked up one of these on a BRS Black Friday sale. It’s basically an ink bird controller but both outlets are synced and perfect for two heaters. I originally intended on having the BRS unit control my tank temp by itself with Apex set higher as the backup. But after trying this, I wasn’t very happy with the temp swing despite cranking down the dead band to the lowest it would go. I let it control the temp overnight, then decided the next morning to have Apex as the primary controller and this as the backup. This has been working well for a few weeks, but my only concern is that when the Apex has the heater outlet off, the BRS controller (which is plugged into this outlet) is also off as opposed to the controller being on all the time. Under normal use, the controller would have power constantly. Maybe this isn’t a problem, just don’t know how long it’ll last like this. It seems others are using it this way. In the end, this set up may just be as or even more vulnerable to failure. I’ve got the controller set to kill power to the heaters at 81F. What are other folks using or other configurations? 12. Sounds good. I’ll shoot you a message. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. About 25 lbs of brs reef saver, branch rock, and pukani. Nothing special, that’s why it’s free! 2 packages of red sea veggies. Accidentally received these while trying to order purple and my fish won’t touch it. Another incorrect order of Hanna ammonia reagent. All free!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Free sells fast! This has been spoken for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Haha, it does! “Give us your tired, poor, and weary frags” Who wouldn’t want this frag in their tank now?! We’ll see if this increases it’s trade potential.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I’ve got this one. Established and colored up. Starting to branch in multiple spots. About 3.5” tall. I’d be up for an acro trade or OME frag. Been looking for a reason to come see the new shop anyway! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Good to now know! I’ve been using vinegar since I started reefing but luckily never ruined anything. Gonna make the switch! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I’ve got plenty to share. In N Portland near Mississippi. If this is convenient for you, send me a pm and we’ll figure something out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Nice! Well, I think I’ll try the 4 blue plus and to add some white, I can use the LED for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. What T5 bulbs are you running? I have a similar, but DIY setup and running 2 ATI blue plus and 2 ATI coral plus and 2 hydras. I’m up for a bulb change and looking for a different combo. The coral plus are a little red/pink looking and had to turn the white LEDs all the way down. I might do 4 blue plus. Anyway, just curious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. This could be a good interim tank for you? But you may like it so much you could just ditch the whole idea of monster tank. [emoji38]at least you wouldn’t have to move a wall! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Well, I think I can claim victory here, it’s game over for aiptasia in my tank. They finally made it into the overflow box and stripped it clean and have found several nudis in my filter socks that I released into the sump to get any down there. Pretty sweet to have a tool like this in the hobby...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Have the aiptasia at least slowed down? That is the first thing I noticed. The big ones kept getting larger but wasn’t seeing as many new ones. It’s like they eat the little ones first, then the hidden ones, then the exposed ones. I had a lot of aiptasia but it wasn’t out of control. Do you have a pretty bad infestation? I was worried my wrasse would eat them but it’s hard to tell since I’ve only seen one nudi at a time on two occasions. You’d think they weren’t even in there. Good luck! 25. This would be between your sump and the fuge? Knowing that you have filter socks before the sump, the detritus must be pretty fine. I wonder if it would be heavy enough to settle out in the sluice? Maybe if you put some filter mat in the bottom on it to help trap? My fuge has gotten kinda gross and thinking I should clean it out. May be why my nitrates have been higher than they used to be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
