  2. I will definitely try that as well, but now after doing a bit more research it could possibly end up costing more than I paid for the tank! I haven't gotten around to calling anyone yet since it's the weekend but I've read it can take several hours, I'm hoping maybe these types of places maybe not since they would have all the necessary stuff to do it but I don't know. I was originally hoping to spend around ~$100, the tank really isn't in bad shape at all, the scratches aren't deep most are tiny and fine with only a few more visible ones towards the top (the ones I can see that bother me) but after what I've read online it could possibly cost much more.. I'm scared to do it myself so I'll still call around but if it ends up costing too much I may just say forget it, my husband would probably divorce me if he found out I paid more to have it buffed and polished than I did for the tank itself, he's offered to do it but I want it done the RIGHT way [emoji23][emoji30] I paid $300 for the tank with the oak stand and canopy used so there's no way I can justify spending that much on something like that even though I love this tank so I guess I'll call around Monday to get an idea of what they charge. I guess I didn't understand the work that goes into it so naively I thought it wouldn't cost more than that. Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  3. [emoji44] at least were quick about it! So how many are you thinking you have now? I believe you said before you thought around a dozen were left? Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  4. Oh wow that’s a great idea thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I bought my most recent one from autotopoff.com, I wish I'd discovered it sooner! You can get a new one for around same price you're wanting to spend anyway with warranty, it's nice because you can pick every piece and put it together how you'd like. I just bought a standard double switch around for $48 and a small pump for another $8, they have ones for nano tanks for $38 or single switch ones for $36 I believe, all you'd need is a pump they sell them for $8-$12 I believe. The owner is very responsive if you have any questions and he sends it out fast. First pic is the one I bought, they have several types choose from Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  6. Here in the next month or two I'll be dismantling my 50 gallon acrylic tank as I will be relocating it to another room, I was hoping to find someone that can buff the scratches out for me (I'll pay you of course) while I have it empty, I have a holding tank for fish and corals so I won't be in a huge hurry but if possible I'd like to find someone that could have it done in about a week or less if possible. The scratches really aren't bad, no deep scratches, most aren't even noticeable when it's filled with water but there are a few that are noticeable and bother me [emoji19] I don't know how to do it and don't want to screw it up so I'd much rather have someone who's done it before do it. I don't know exactly when I'll be taking it down but it's 100% happening soon and I'd like to have someone lined up to do it in the meantime, if you're that person let me know! I will bring it to you obviously, if you already have all the tools etc even better!! Let me know where you're located and what you would charge, thanks! [emoji18][emoji120] Oh and apparently I haven't been receiving messages because my inbox was full, I went through yesterday and deleted old messages so good to go now [emoji106] Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  7. Wow those are some pretty large polyps! Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  8. I have a full container of Kent PH Buffer yours if you want it, I’d have to check the expiration date since I haven’t touched it besides the one time, I’m assuming it probably has an expiration date.... I’ve been using kalk in all three of my tanks ato’s and haven’t had any issues since. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. [emoji22] raising baby clowns seems tough, so are you going to try again immediately, or try raising the remaining fry first? I hope the rest make it, it’s crazy how little things you don’t think about can cause so many problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wow it looks amazing! You’ve got some nice corals, what are these palys in this picture called?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Are you going to try again on your clowns next batch or wait? And if you did do it again on the next batch would you hatch them out in the same tank as the fry you already have or set up a seperate tank for the new ones? Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  12. Unfortunately that's how we learn [emoji17] but to look on the bright side you'll be ready for it next time, clowns lay often enough that in no time you'll be doing it again with more success! Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  13. Wow those lucky duckies! [emoji39][emoji256]and I have to say I'm a little jealous about your sump space lol Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk

    New build

Well if you do end up selling the nems I may take one or three off your hands [emoji6] I know it can be scary to take a chisel to your rock but I've done it countless times in the past to remove them and most of the time they come off much easier than you would think. Good luck! Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk

  20. Nice! Curious why you lower the salinity? I've never tried this myself but would like to one day. Also curious why you started with lower salinity? Do you keep fish only tanks? Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  21. I think I went a bit overboard buying extra return pumps so I've decided to sell a couple. I have one Danner Mag 7 and one Danner Mag 5 both work great. $30 each or trade for Rock Flower nems, Bubble Tip nems, Maxi minis, palythoa grandis, Ricordias, Mushroom rocks, large toadstools, especially toadstool leathers with longer polyps, etc Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk

Good luck! [emoji256] I've been wanting to do this at some point so I'll be following along. Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
  23. Don't know if you're still looking but I have a new 10 gallon with screen lid, I'll take a mushroom or whatever for it. Had hermit crabs in it for a few days then they went to a larger home with someone else. Have several hermit crab supplies too...
  24. [emoji23] I'm far from everyone pretty much lol. I just noticed you're in Springfield so yeah I'd say pretty far... Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk
