  1. Glad to hear you are still at it. Hope the tank shapes up quickly for you!
  2. I want to try to make it so I can check out your new store Jeff. I am really excited about having some parking space
  3. I have some I would be happy to give you. My number is 360-921-5421.
  4. What part of Vancouver are you in? I am in the HazelDell area and would like to take a look. I would be interested in a couple of items and possible some fish when available. Please contact me at 360-921-5421.
  5. I have got a red/orange BTA and a green with white tip that both split from my original. I have separated the red out already but have not been able to get the green to release from the rock around where it currently sits. I would be interested in talking to you about trades for some of the zoas that you had up for sale. I would love to get some that I do not have. Let me know if you have interest. Steve
  6. Nice rock work. That will make a pretty display once you get the corals and fish in. Good job!
  7. Thanks for the valuable pointers. There are so many things that can affect the growth of our corals!
  8. I typically add a little salt at a time in a forty gallon container. It ends up being about two cups every 10 minutes or so. It dissolves very quickly and when I have the almost the correct amount in a begin testing as I go to make sure I don't add too much. Good luck.
  9. This is my May pictures for the Zoa growout. I now have 8 polyps and 2 babies that are probably too small to count.
  10. So, how well does it work??
  11. Thanks for doing this John. It sounds like you have some great ideas to keep things moving!
  12. I just posted pictures on the other TECA grow out thread. Do I need to do this a second time on this thread or am I OK?
  13. Here is my photo for May of the Zoas in the grow out. I now have 8 full polyps and 2 babies.
  14. Welcome to the group. I hope we get a chance to meet at one of the monthly meetings. I have a large koi pond in the back yard in addition to the 200 gallon reef tank that keeps getting bigger all of the time!
  15. Great work on the picture Jeremy. I am glad you took the win. We are proud of your great photo skills!
  16. Mitch If you want some acrylic tubing to put in between rocks that are drilled I have some I would let you have. It keeps things pretty secure (at least so far). Hope you got it all back together. Give me a call if you want to try the rod. Steve
  17. Thanks for volunteering to help with the board. I appreciate your extra time (in advance!).
  18. I am a newer member of this forum and feel that the officers have done a really good job of welcoming new members and setting up great events. I have learned so much from participation in this group and it has really helped me progress in the activity. I see that the board members have a lot of stress and want to really thank them for their volunteer time to keep this group going in a positive direction. There are a lot of people like myself that appreciate your hard work more than you know. Thank you!
  19. These are the first pictures I have tried submitting to this site. I took two shots of the zoas for the growout from different perspectives. Can you let me know if these two pictures came through or if I have to try a different way? My system: 200 gallon tank 65 gallon sump Skims protein skimmer Calcium reactor - Carbon reactor and phos reactor dose iodine dose coralvite dose acro power for aminos Sorry about my lack of skills getting these pictures in. I am having a hard time taking them from photobucket to this post. Wow.....looks like they came through after all. I forgot to mention that I believe I have six polyps.
  20. Wow,.... really nice corals and great photography work!
  21. I am a middle school teacher in Vancouver and I have been thinking of taking the plunge for a while. I have a large tank at home (240 gallon system and 28 gallon quarantine) and one at school would be a treat I believe (am I remembering all of the cleaning??). If it is not already gone please contact me! I think the kids would really enjoy seeing this and I know the biology teacher and I have already talked about this and how they could benefit from a tank in the building.
  22. Great idea for a cutting tool. Pretty small investment for something that works well
  23. Tank is looking great Mitchell. Pretty soon there will be no room left. Then on to a bigger one!
