  1. Tangs always fight in my tanks, unless I introduce them together---even the different shapes. Good luck!
  2. Looking good, Aubrey. I see some cyano on your sand bed. This stuff is just the trick for that: http://www.marinedepot.com/Boyd_Chemiclean_Red_Slime_Cyano_Bacteria_Remover_Saltwater_Aquarium_Additives_Supplements_Algae_Control-Boyd_Enterprises_%28Chemi_Pure%29-BE1115-FIADAL-vi.html
  3. Nice! What did that one look like before you cooked it?
  4. Jeff often has nice and hardy (and inexpensive) Derasas in his shop. That's what I would try if I was starting out with clams.
  5. Ha ha! I cut it closer than you. Mine is still rockin' It has totally encrusted the frag plug, and is working it's way down the sides as well as starting to grow up.
  6. Here it is. Not too expensive, and Golden Basket's corals look just as nice as their Ebay pictures under these lights. http://www.rapidled.com/dimmable-onyx-by-rapid-led/
  7. Go to Golden Basket and check out Rudy's Rapid LED Onyx fixtures. Awesome color! Those will be my next lights.
  8. Thanks, Darice. It was nice meeting you. Andy
  9. That's cool. It's a sea snake mimic. Predators have the same reaction that we did, and leave it alone.
  10. It looks like these guys. Wow, that is scary. Those things are extremely venomous.
  11. Is this thing 5 gallons too? I may have to make the trip down to Winco
  12. I think I need a chunk of that one, Rudy!
  13. Reef Builders reviewed our local skimmer invention and they think that it is legit. https://reefbuilders.com/2016/03/08/pro-tein-clean-review-this-skimmer-works-as-advertised/ It says the skimmer has a range of 1 to 5 inches of water for normal operation. For some reason, I was under the impression that the range was larger than this when it was first unveiled. I also wonder if it is necessary if you have auto topoff in your sump that will keep the water level constant. It seems like a cool product though. Edit: The price is listed on his website at 329.99. There is one model, which is rated for 250 gallons.
  14. Here's my feeble attempt. This is a no-name acro that Robert and I got from Gumby a few years ago, so in Corvallis it is now known as "Gumby's Tort." Subtle beauty, and it grows fast--I like it.
  15. Great pictures, Tom! Remember this one? How's your half doing?
  16. Nice! What is that one, Jorge?
  17. Are you making the donation, Tom? How about $25 sushi credit?
