  1. Go to Golden Basket and check out Rudy's Rapid LED Onyx fixtures. Awesome color! Those will be my next lights.
  2. Thanks, Darice. It was nice meeting you. Andy
  3. That's cool. It's a sea snake mimic. Predators have the same reaction that we did, and leave it alone.
  4. It looks like these guys. Wow, that is scary. Those things are extremely venomous.
  5. Is this thing 5 gallons too? I may have to make the trip down to Winco
  6. I think I need a chunk of that one, Rudy!
  7. Reef Builders reviewed our local skimmer invention and they think that it is legit. https://reefbuilders.com/2016/03/08/pro-tein-clean-review-this-skimmer-works-as-advertised/ It says the skimmer has a range of 1 to 5 inches of water for normal operation. For some reason, I was under the impression that the range was larger than this when it was first unveiled. I also wonder if it is necessary if you have auto topoff in your sump that will keep the water level constant. It seems like a cool product though. Edit: The price is listed on his website at 329.99. There is one model, which is rated for 250 gallons.
  8. Here's my feeble attempt. This is a no-name acro that Robert and I got from Gumby a few years ago, so in Corvallis it is now known as "Gumby's Tort." Subtle beauty, and it grows fast--I like it.
  9. Great pictures, Tom! Remember this one? How's your half doing?
  10. Nice! What is that one, Jorge?
  11. Are you making the donation, Tom? How about $25 sushi credit?
  12. My bottles of reagent are apparently bad, per Hanna's website, but I cross-checked them with my Salifert kit and they are spot on.
  13. I've got some nice big Orange Ricordeas--I know that is a common one. Also Strawberry Fields Montipora and a rare one, Montipora caliculata.
  14. What is that one, Robert? That is pretty sweet!
  15. I almost always drip acclimate into a bucket, but this is usually because the water the fish is in comes from a system with copper in it. I never want to risk getting that into my system with corals! As for Lawn Mower Blennies, yes, I have had less success with this fish too. For some reason, I have better success with Starry Blennies, which are very similar fish.
  16. The Premium Aquarium in Salem always has a ton of nice Acan lord frags. I have one that looks just like that, that I got from TPA.
  17. He responded to my text. I'm going to pick it up in Eugene early next week.
  18. Now that Ecotech has lowered their prices and reduced the pump noise, I think they are worth it. I love my MP10s. They used to be 300 bucks and were really noisy. If you have a bigger tank, the Maxspect Gyres are a better value than the Ecotechs, but both work really well. I have found my Jebaos to lose some power over their lifetime, but they work pretty well for me for at least a year. You can get the WP25 pumps for 40 bucks on amazon. Nothing cheaper than that.
