  1. After battling with every possible kind of algae in the past 6 months, I've decided to break down my 40 breeder. I'm going to focus on having one awesome tank, instead of two decent tanks. So, before I start listing things, you should be aware that pretty much every rock in the tank has some sort of algae on it. This ranges from the normal green/brown algae that isn't too big of a deal, to some evil strain of bryopsis that doesn't respond to any of the usual treatment methods. The only way I have successfully killed this stuff is to pull the rock out and dump straight, undiluted, kent tech M onto it, then let it sit for 10 minutes before putting it back in the water. On the upside, this has worked every time for me so far. I'm just not going to go through the hassle of doing that to every rock in the tank. So, you have been warned. There is algae. However, if you have had great luck dealing with this stuff before, and are confident that you can kill it again, you are about the get some amazing deals on things. I can try to get you better pictures of anything you are interested in. Just pm me with your phone number and will text them to you. Also, I don't really want to try to break things off of rocks to sell them separately. Most of the things should be pretty easy for you to cut off the rocks, then you can just toss the algae covered bits in the garbage. This rock is big and awesome. It is 12 or so inches across and 8 inches tall. It has 5 rainbow bubble tip anemones, Kaleidoscope cloves, several different colored mushrooms, cherry charm zoas, everlasting gobstopper zoas, and a small hollywood stunner. There is a small patch of bryopsis on this one, it would be an easy one to pull out and treat. 150$ for the whole thing. Up front of this one is a duncan colony, It's grumpy because my urchin just ran over it, but it has 10-15 heads. (30$) Behind that is a Meteor shower cyphastrea. 2" or so (10$) To the left is a disk with 20-30 oxide zoas, and 10is blue hornets (40$)-PENDING madmike Middle center is another disk of zoas most of them I don't have any name for, but I do know there are 20 or so red hornets and the same number of clementines. There are also two others types that I don't know the names of. (40$) PENDING madmike Behind that is a good 6" rock pretty well covered in zoas. at least 50 rockstars, some jokers, a couple of other randoms and a few sunny d's. (50$) PENDING madmike Way at the back is a colony of baby's breath favia. it is baseball sized. The rock it's on also has some blue tubbs zoas and a few mushrooms. (60$) PENDING emerald Dead center is a 6-8" rock covered in close to 100 sunny d's, 30ish fire and ice, and over 100 kiwis. (60$) PENDING arsonmfg left of that is a joker favia colony that is 5-6" across. (60$) PENDING emerald The center rock here has a softball sized colony of red and green candycanes, 10-15 raptor rainbow zoas, and a 3ish inch piece of moti setosa. (30$) To the left of that is a rock with a few rainbow sekura and agave zoas, a 4" colony of birds of paradise birdsnest, and a 2" chunk of pokerstar monti. (30$) PENDING madmike The rock below that has the armageddon and purple death zoas. (20$) PENDING madmike Top left rock has an 8" piece of blue stag, and the rest is covered with everlasting gobstoppers, mohawks, and some other cool zoas that I don't know the names of. (50$) The rock below that has a big spread out base of tricolor acro with several small branches coming up. It also has some sunset monti, monti spongodes, then a few red people eaters, dragon eyes, and some random blue Hawaiian palys. (60$) PENDING madmike The green and red trachy is only for sale if I can't make it fit in my smaller tank. But it will be 75$ if I end up selling it. It is 6-8" when it's fully opened. That's all for now. Once this is all gone I will make an equipment list. I'm open to offers, but don't low ball me too bad. Thanks
  2. Jason has had one at oiab the least several times I've been there. It's big, healthy, and beautiful.
  3. I have a coralife turbo twist. It's running right now, but i can pull it off and clean it up if you're interested. 40$
  4. It's available again. This is a big piece, 6-7" across.
  5. I accidentally broke this off while I was cleaning today. So somebody come buy it. It's a tricolor acro of some kind. I got it from jase originally, but I don't remember exactly what it was called. How about 75$ for it? I'm in downtown Vancouver.
  6. Yep, I dosed 1ml per 10 gallons every night at lights out. I actually built up to almost double that over a period of a few weeks and nothing seemed to mind.
  7. Mine is definitely bryopsis. I went through dinos a few months ago. Peroxide dosing and a uv sterilizer helped knock them out.
  8. I think I have some kind of mutant bryopsis that doesn't respond to the Kent tech m. My mg has been sitting close to 3000ppm for a few weeks now, and it still doesn't seem to mind. I've been slowly bringing it up over the past several months thinking I'd find the magic level that would kill the stuff. I'm going to try daily water changes for a few weeks and see if I can starve it out and poison it at the same time. I'm in the verge of taking the tank down, this is getting really frustrating. Good luck!
  9. I accidentally killed a bunch of blue cloves when I dipped the rock in a 50/50 tank water and hydrogen peroxide mix to kill some algae. It didn't bother the zoas or mushrooms, but the cloves seem really sensitive to it.
  10. They are poisonous. I'd be surprised if the frog even ate them. I tried feeding these to tree frogs when I was younger and they would always spit them out.
  11. Thanks! I'm hoping something closer to Vancouver will pop up though.
  12. Does anyone have some blue clove polyps they can part with? I had a little piece that was starting to spread, but after a hydrogen peroxide dip to kill some algae, they all died off. The zoas and mushrooms didn't seem to mind, but the cloves never came back. If you have some, please let me know. I'm happy to trade something for them, but I don't really want to spend any money since they're usually considered a pest coral.
  13. Thanks Jeremy. I was thinking probably uv's. They look like a really pale violet. I've been having trouble getting a response from Matt. I think he's a pretty busy guy.
  14. Are there any led echoes on here that can help me identify the color of a diode from a picture? I have some burned out diodes I'd like to replace, but I'm not sure what color they are. And it's a custom layout, so I'm not sure how to find out.
  15. I think I'm slowly losing the battle with bryopsis. I have been using Kent tech m and have maintained my mag at 1800 for the past month. It seemed to die back after a few weeks, but then pooped back up stronger than before. Can I raise it up over 2000 without hurting anything? I'm not sure what else to do at this point. I had a fox face that ate it all within a few days, but then it died a few days later and it's back again. I really don't want to have to tear everything down and start over. Help?
  16. Does anybody have some emeralds on fire zoas available? Let me know what you have and what you want for them. I might have some good stuff to trade, just let me know what you're looking for.
  17. I use and dollars. I always come back from the coast with a handful of them.
