Not much to update. Everything seems to be doing great. It's tough to get decent pictures of them since they're so small. They're actually a lot more active than I expected too. I would definitely recommend these to anyone that wants a very low maintenance tank for their office desk.

I just upgraded from the current marine led, to the current marine pro. I was looking to add a blue strip of leds to change up the color a bit. Then I found this light on Craigslist for cheaper than a single strip light. The trachy seems to like the change.

Well that's a good point. Not sure why I didn't think about that. I'll take the lid off tonight. Do you have any pictures of your tank? I'd love to see your setup. Do you have any plants? I've read a little about people growing Java ferns in brackish water.

It's hard to get a good picture of these since they're so tiny. They seem to be doing great so far though.

Gas exchange won't be a problem. The lid is nowhere near a perfect seal. It's just enough to keep evaporation down.

Ha! Aubry always finds me eyeing the glass vases at tj maxx and has to drag me away before something happens. And they would do great on your desk. They're the same shrimp that come in those ecosphere things. It's a zero maintenance setup once it's established.

I got them on eBay.

Shrimp showed up today! They are smaller, and cuter than I expected.

Does it have to be a round hole? I was thinking something like a small angle grinder or dremel with a cutting wheel on a long steel pipe.

Can anyone recommend a good blue led strip light? I'm looking to add a little supplemental blue. Tank is 36" long. Thanks

I'm looking for some coral skeletons to decorate the opae ula vase. Does anyone have a cool, branching skeleton they don't want? I'm looking for something like a gorgonian or birdsnet.

Thanks! It's three rocks. They stacked pretty well together, so I just have then super glued together for now. I'm going to get a few marimo moss balls to throw in too.
