  6. How do we make payment? Are you going to be at the meeting or is there a Venmo account we can use ?
  7. Chalices are my favorite and I don’t think they get enough love . Great pictures!
  8. I could get them from Vis and bring them to you.
  9. Thanks for doing this Bret. It’s been a long time since we have had a zoa growout !
  10. Too bad I didn’t know you at the time Holly , Sirena Jeff and his wife hung out at both places.
  11. The ones in San Diego and Vegas were a blast. I went to the one in Dallas one year too. I heard they haven’t been profitable for a while now and Vegas was the only one that was. I sure the pandemic didn’t help and Kevin stepping down didn’t help. It’s a lot of work. Just organizing the reef show here was a lot of time can’t imagine doing a show on that level.
  12. I heard this may be happening. I also heard from a reliable source that Macna and Masna may not occur any more in the future due to revenue loss/bankruptcy. It’s a shame as this was a fun and educational venue to attend. https://reefbuilders.com/2023/02/28/masna-announces-the-cancellation-of-macna-2023/
  13. Great job everyone ! Looks like a great meeting @reefrun thanks for hosting ! @obrien.david.j thanks for the pictures ! Sorry I missed it !
  14. Here is my February submission last picture. it is still growing. The frag as you can see has gotten a little bleached. It may be getting too much might but I suspect it has more to do with my alkalinity. As this is to educate @Lexinvertsmentioned that the tips of sps can get bleached with too high of alk. This is also a reminder of what a delicate balance sps can be. I hand dose with all for reef and I had mixed up my own batch a year ago and it lasts forever but I suspect the last bit of it didn’t mix properly and the alk was low as it dropped to 6. I kept upping the amount and no change so I switched to a new bottle that I had on hand and overshot the amount and the levels jumped pretty high and it took a 2 weeks to get it back to 8/9. The frag is up high in my tank but I do think it is the high all because my tricolor that has been in the same place for almost 2 years also lost the purple color on the tips and as many of you know it takes a few weeks to cause a color change and a millennium for the color to come back. Just happy it all stayed alive !
  15. You will get more parting it out but if you are too busy and feel too overwhelmed you can just pack up all the coral in bins. Take the big rocks out first and then catching the fish are easy then take it all in to a local fish store. Once the coral is out you have time for the tank to sit. While it is sitting you can soak it in vinegar or citric acid or just leave it until you have more time or you can just see what a fish store would give you for a tank. (Usually not much but sometimes it is worth it to not deal with the hassle)
  16. I have an interlock. We do not have natural gas where I live so it would have to be propane. I considered getting a generac but they are spendy. The interlock plus the generator is a happy medium for me . Here is the thread I started when I was looking into this.
  17. Thanks for thinking of us ! Best investment I did was get an interlock and generator. Power has gone out three times and none this year but so worth it to continue to have hot showers , heat and a corals that stay alive.
  18. Here is my January submission I added the initial and December as well. @reefrun @obrien.david.j
