I agree the numbers don’t make sense and personally don’t think with the little you are dosing you need to jump to a calcium reactor and dosing is just fine. The numbers don’t make sense so probably should double check like others have said. I like the Hanna alk checker but also use lamotte. calcium is used up much slower than alk so that could be part of the problem. I rarely see my calcium fluctuate much compared to the alk. I forget the exact ratio.

Those with small hands can relate 😊.It’s nearly impossible to try to hold the ruler and frag in one hand and take an accurate photo with the other . 😂

I think he just means that we recognize the structure from corals he has had. I don’t think this is the right site to find the value. For us a coral skeleton is a bad thing because it means one of our corals has died and like Dave mentioned most of us reuse it. I have seen them for sale at touristy places I have travelled and the prices sometimes are insanely high. You won’t get that here. I would suggest you just Google coral skeleton. Here is one on Wayfair for a crazy price . Good luck with sale.

@AquaKey thanks for organizing this . I was able to participate and it was a lot of fun especially with the bonus items. I had my eye on the strawberry shortcake frag as I lost mine due to coral warfare. @TamiRose actually won it but knew I wanted it so she just gave it to me but I traded her my OG bounce that I ended up getting back. I’m also super excited about the purple monster zoas. I had been wanting these for a while so thank you whoever brought those !! Everyone had a smile on their face and it was nice to people just enjoying and being in a giving mood.

@Yourmedic thanks for posting this thread there is a lot of useful information. I used dry rock and patience is key. Usually what happens is after a year or two of dealing with algae and wacky parameters that you can’t change people give up and that’s right when it gets easier. I would take @DaveZup on a a hardy tricolor frag that he gave me. I can actually clip you off a piece. I started with it as a browned out frag when my tank was about 2 months old as it colored up I got some other hardy acros from him. It was my canary in the coal mine so to speak. If it died then I knew it wasn’t safe to add other corals. Titus reef also makes a good point about acclimating. It doesn’t matter with the hardier acros but I have certainly had that happen with more delicate frags. Thanks everyone for all the good advice !

Sorry to hear this … Your parameters posted didn’t look bad. Are you having difficulty with other sps ? Have you lose any other acros ? I’m not an sps master but : I feel like stability is key and I have found stn happens with rapid swings although honestly I just hand dose once a day and don’t dose at all when I’m out of town. I am also careful with using things like Chemiclean or phosphate removers. How long have you been using the phosrx.
