  1. Couldn’t imagine moving that tank being 3/4 thick glass 😳 Pretty cool though!
  2. Looks good! Do you dose at all for the sps, or are water changes keeping them going for now?
  3. I was originally going to pick up at 250, but the cabinet space sold me on the 350! Thats a lot of leaking tanks, hopefully you have better luck with the reefers Those all sound like conventional tank sizes, I think the 170 he currently has is the only Red Sea... at least for my sake I hope so
  4. Well here is my new adventure, wanted to make a tank journal so I can track my progress. Thank you to Jeff at cuttlefish for the reefer package! Equipment: Reefer 350 Deluxe in White 2x Hydra HD 26 Nyos Quantum 160 Skimmer Finnex 500w Titainium Heater Apex Neptune System Tunze 3155 ATO Maxxspec Gyre f230 Ro/Di Unit MarinePure BioBlock Fritz Pro Salt I'm not a huge fan of a bunch of rock in the tank, so hopefully I don't have to many problems with less rock than normal. So far the tank has been up and running for about two weeks, no leaks so far. The Wiring is still a disaster, I'll clean it up eventually. Using Dry rock from reef cleaners, tropic eden mesoflakes and seeding the tank with a couple small live rocks.
  5. So just a little update. I took it apart, switched the blades to the second set and now it works perfect! Have it 2” below water, ramping up to 70% in random mode and no issues! 😄
  6. Yeah I really want to like them, I’ll keep messing with it, might just replace with some mp40s if all fails.
  7. I have it set just how it came out of the box right now. But the problem isn’t reverse. It makes the tornado going forward. Even if I put it at constant flow at say 40%. It makes the whirlpool. Maybe I’ll try switching the blades, I really like the idea of these so hopefully I can get this working without having it 10” down the tank haha
  8. Just got a new Maxspect gyre fx230, never had one before. From what I understand is they pull water from underneath them, but I cannot for the life of me get it to stop making a whirlpool/tornado and suck in air then blow bubbles everywhere. Ive tried pointing the blades up, down, straight. I see most people have them an inch or two below the water level and I can’t get it to work even 6” down. And that’s at 40%, at anything above that it’s a constant tornado pulling air. Am I missing something incredibly simple? Side note, the controller on this is terrible... no idea why they thought it was good enough to release to the public haha.
  9. Thank you! And again beautiful tank. Thanks for sharing 😍
  10. Ah to bad, I just setup a 350. Do you run the hydra 26 lights? If so do your light settings look like 😁
  11. Wow very nice! Do you have a build thread?
  12. Looking for someone in Vancouver preferably Just setup a tank and used dry rock/sand. So looking for 2-3 baseball size live rock to seed my tank. Pest free, algae free, coral free. Can either purchase or I have a brand new 300w Jager heater (was to long for my sump) for trade, or have some dry rock left over. Also so looking for a pump that would be strong enough to do water changes from a barrel to the tank which sits about 5 feet high
  13. Does this store have live rock for sale? I’m up in Vancouver and just set up a tank but need a couple pest free live rock pieces to seed my tank with. Edit: never mind looks like they are only open from 3-6 so couldn’t make it there anyways.
  14. Can also deliver to the meeting tomorrow
  15. Will also take crypto as payment
  16. Have a reefer 350 that is brand new for sale, tank only. Tank is in brand new condition, only issue is between the glass and acrylic back is a little bit of writing in sharpie. Can only see it if you light it up with something bright. Could take the acrylic off and have no black back, or heat it up and peel it back and clean it off and restick, or leave it as it would never be noticed, especially once coralline is on the back wall. $700- now 500
  17. I think you’d be happy spending the little extra and getting the ozmolator over the nano. Just my opinion though
  18. The float switch on the nano failed twice for me, probably lack of cleaning it every so often. I like the ozmolator sensor a lot more. Also has a backup float just Incase which is nice.
  19. Had the tunze nano, replaced it with the tunze ozmolator, works great. Never had a problem with it.
  20. Wow great deal.. these should be gone in a few minutes!
  21. If you have the room, could try adding a murinepure block. Seem to help out a lot!
  22. Accidentally bought a Red Sea Max, I like that haha. And good choice!
