  1. What happened to member locations in the left side I.D. section?
  2. Are we missing member locations in the I.D. field or are you both playing hide and seek?
  3. UPDATE: buy and use a RO/DI system from Air,Water and Ice (one of our sponsors) you will never have to check water board website's, question the health of your pets and you can drink it too!
  4. I think we need a poll.....should Kim start using more pink!
  5. Thanks for sharing! GREAT PIC'S!
  6. I now have 4 new battery pumps, THANKS Garrett and Aron (Nautilus) and set for the outage. Thanks Rick for the advice, but I will be unable to " check " on the tanks that day. I do run the stove a couple days a week.
  7. I scored 2 new ones from Aron at the Nautilus and 2 new ones from Garrett, both for a smooookkkkkin deal. Thanks Ryan and Impur, but i now own 4 new ones! Thanks Aron and Garrett !
  8. Were you using it for making cappacino's next to you coffe maker?
  9. See thread: http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?24651-NEED-BATTERY-POWERED-AIR-PUMP&p=238453#post238453 Aron at The Nautilus has made me a SMOKKKKKIN deal on 2 of them! I just need one more and will be set! If anyone ever needs one, let me know.
  10. Anyone (other than Impur-thanks Miles!) in the Eugene area have one I can Borrow? I need 4 by Thursday evening and have a line on one for Impur. Thanks
  11. He has lurked around the Forum, but not much of a computer guy, hence why be a sponsor on an internet site. The best way to reach Aron is 541-344-FISH. Thanks for helping the Eugene crowd!
  12. 4 tanks and only one borrowed battery pump, Car batteries and inverters plus a 2 hour round trip just to "check" on them or stir the water has me leaning towards the "thats how they are shipped and shouldn't be a problem in their environment" approach. Just one more reason to go Solar at the house.
  13. With 4 tanks and a FOWLR full of coral eating fish, your tank would look like the Saharah underwater in 30 minutes.
  14. Thanks for the responses...sounds like you " WOULD" worry about it and cycle the water vs " NOT WORRY" about it and be ok with 8 hours?
  15. I have a scheduled power outage for approximately 8 hours. Anything to worry about? I have 4 tanks and will have heat via woodstove. I am doing 2 20% water changes this week prior to keep oxygen , ph etc levels stable. I do not have battery air pumps for stones. i have lived in the same house for 22 years and this is the 3rd time the power has been out ( weird but true ). Fish and coral are shipped, trans shipped etc in bags for up to 36 hours and live, am I just FREAKING out? I'm trying to modify my wifes dusty excercise equipment with some belts and pullys to airrate the water and incorporate a pump, but she said she wouldn't have a place to hange the laundry if I moved them closer to the tanks...LOL
  16. If you can keep a stable reef, you can instal the shield. Don't buy into the "lifetime warranty" they are gambling that you wont have it long enough for the areas that you frequently touch to become foggy from tiny micro scratches.
  17. Almighty Vendor Relations Officer.......I have talked, as mentioned. I think if we would like to pursue this any further we need to bring in the reinforcements LOL
  18. I have arranged a few meet and greets and even a chili cookoff and I think season timing plays a big part in getting people to show up in the eugene area. The last meet and greet we had 1 person and the chili cook off had 2 members and a local LFS owner. Even getting a tank tour 1/2 day although fun, seems tough to co-ordinate. There are quite a few members/non-members down here , but tough getting them active outside the forum. Good luck. I have mentioned to Micheal about getting Aron from The Nautilus involved. Aron has a large space at the shop and has mentioned he would like to start holding local meetings and getting a TFT program down here. Mabey we should re-visit him?
