So, if i'm counting correctly....Impur,Algae,Kmiller,Eugenereef and myself? All 4 of you have been to my place in the last 30 days so I say skip mine and spend the time building the sump at Miles place.
Just PM'd you, I'm not usre if we will all still be rockin' the tour 5 hours after we meet, but I left you my number and you are always welcome to stop by when you are here.
Pull the top and follow the line running through the connector that feeds the vertical tube that travels though the media trays. That line should be the outlet.
We will need: Acrylic, cement or acrylic bonding glue, rags and alcohol to clean and prep, a large handfull of bread ties ( to stage the pieces away from each other) , silicone and 1" squares from thin acrylic material to stage the baffles ( see Nnewhouse's thread on RC "how to build a sump in 2 hours" ) a drill and hole saw if it is to be drilled.
Its a nice shop. I asked for a quote and left my phone number 3 months ago....will give them on more shot, but you can't beat Garrett for CUSTOMER SERVICE, internet instant purchase, price and he loves to snowboard!
Hey Kat, post a pic of it. I've seen the same one on another tank and was wondering the same thing. Most corners don't have the brace. Not recommending you cut it out,but most don't have it. I would think a local glass shop could suggest a type of bonding glue or silicone that would work with another piece of glass as a transparent brace? Mabey Impur, he has some glass experience locally.
