  1. Well I know I will be yelled at for this statement but it is probably for the best.
  2. I would like them, what kind of trades are you looking for. I am in Castle Rock but I plan to head up and see DJ Giantti someday soon.
  3. OOoh, Oooooh, yes I am interested! Let me know if you still have him. Of course I will still have to clear this with the boss but I have always wanted one of these guys and been looking for one lately.
  4. I respectfully disagree, the one you have in Tigard may be good, and for that I am glad. But for any company that has treated actual animals and fish the way that I have seen deserves nothing but a bad rep and to not be supported by our community. I may be on a different page then a lot of people, but I feel that it is our sole responsibility to promote good care for the animals while in the ocean and especially while in our care. Good husbandry is in our hands and in my eyes it is no different then killing a cat or dog. While admittedly, I too have killed my share of live reef pets over the years, at least I have learned and changed my approach to better suit the animals.
  5. I have a piece of pokerstar for you Clay if this deal falls through.
  6. I can get you a great price on one of these pumps. Unfortunately the answer for moving the water is just as hard as it sounds. Lots of buckets and maybe some cheap, new garbage cans. If you need some buckets let me know, I may have a few laying around.
  7. IMO I believe is "in my opinion"
  8. Bob, did you get the PM I sent you a few days ago about the corals?
  9. live sand PM sent. I don't understand why the message has to be longer then what I need to say.
  10. Are you saying that your discovery was that 1 tank was tempered and the other may not be or that not all the panels on the tempered tank are tempered? Please let me know how this goes.
  11. I am looking for as much sand as I can get my hands on within reason of course. More then willing to buy it if the price is right, but would really like to trade. I have quite a few high end zoo's/Paly's a fw really nice chalice frags and even oregon blue tort frags that I might be able to trade. Let me know what you have and what you want for it, it does NOT have to be live.
  12. Oh buddy, you missed one of the best brewery in Seattle. The Maritime off Leary st I believe.
  13. I would like to get the MJ1200's and the TDS meter. I am a little ways away from you but if you are making a trip out to Portland I can meet you or I can pick a day next week to drive up and see you. Let me know
  14. Wow, there are some serious inside jokes going on here. At least you guys have fun with it.

    Superman ????

I have bought Supermans and that started off as one thing and then change to something completely different. I believe it to be caused by a difference in the atmosphere like, lighting, calcium, alk, ph maybe, and other things.

    Casters

Well if you really wanted to you could just build a skirt for the bottom to hide them. The whole thing might be more work then it is worth though.
  17. Sounds reasonable, you do have to be careful though. When these things die they can pollute your whole tank and take everything down with it. Glad to hear it worked out
  18. Don't pull it just yet. Can you post some pics and some tank specs?
  19. B E A U Tiful, keep the pics coming please!
  20. I wrote the guy telling him that it was clearly not Live Rock anymore for obvious reasons and explained what curing meant. He wrote me back exclaiming that I was right and that back in his day Base Rock meant something different. At the end of his email he wrote, "Sorry I got salty. I'm very ill in pain and have little patience. I'm sorry if I offended you. John" I think he thought I was you.
  21. Not sure what kind of chalices you are looking for but I have some really nice ones, that I would love to do some trading with.

I think the biggest problem is that you are changing the structure of the stand. Instead of holding in all the places it would normally it is only supported under the wheels. Could potentially cause damage to the stand. You could build a base with wheels, like a Dollie. Wheels are the easy part, just look on ebay, I got some there for my water change bucket dolly, very strong and the diameter is big enough that you can easily roll over most things. Best of luck
  23. Love it, but I don't have cable so I have to wait and watch it on Netflix.
