  1. I hope it does, I have already been reminded of a handful of movies I haven't seen in a long time that I really love!
  2. Yes, I am very excited, equally nervous and completely terrified.
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That is awesome, makes me think of the jail line from Joe Pesci in Casino.
  4. Well let's not be greedy here, do share.
  5. Huge Star Wars fan, I actually collect the vintage figures too. Samuel is a pimp, I have never seen snakes on a plane though.
  6. Blazing saddles, ha ha, Epic!!! Where have you been Racefan, I haven't seen you on here in a while?
  7. Thanks everybody, I love all the positive encouragement. My friends all tell me that I will be the dad that is scary as hell without the shotgun, ha ha. I am not looking forward to those days.(enforcer)
  8. "Stress is when you wake up screaming and you realize you haven't fallen asleep yet!" That is so awesome, story of my life, ha ha. Well to tell you the truth I have a bunch of sps and have never fed them anything. I can tell you for sure that there are many other people that do the same as me with great results. What we need to know in order to help are a few things here. First off, how new is your system, sps require a fairly well established tank, sometimes up to a year. I have never known birdsnest to be too picky but it depends on what type really. Also how many watts of light are you running? How close is it to the tank, how big is your tank? Tell us some more about your setup in general, also how is the birdsnest dying, there is a good possibility that you have something in there eating at it. Birdsnest requires only moderate flow and med to high lighting.
  9. Man, great lists, I had forgot about some of these, Tombstone, Gladiator, Snatch, Saving Private ryan. ANother one of my favorites is 13th warrior, don't know why though.
  10. So we got back from the doctors today and they are 95% sure that it is a girl (woohoo) and I am sure they will remain that way until we have the last pink item bought, ha ha.(dancing)
  11. OK, not your favorite, if you are like me there is no 1 favorite. I have a shelf full of movies I watch all the time, so 1 is impossible. Top ten, 5, 3, here's a few of mine. 1. Evil Dead(king) 2. Lock Stock and 2 smoking barrels(agree) 3. Office spacerofl 4. Pulp Fiction(popcorn) 5. Full metal Jacket(cheer) 6. C.H.U.D (cannibalistic humanoid underground dwellers)(Bow) That should be enough to get us started anyway. I might just have too much time on my hands right now.
  12. Have any of you ever had hughesnet. Wow, this service will leave you begging for anything else. I live in a remote area and they were our only option, they have a really strict download limit (a few 10 minute videos in a week and they shut you down. Not to mention they charged us like 80.00 per month and speed, ha ha was at best 50 mbps and never steady, usually half that speed. I finally found a local company (smaller business) that offers there clients this thing, I forget uhhh, oh yeah, it was called like customer service or something like that. It's amazing, you call, somebody says hello and talks to you, when you have a problem, they address it. They charge me 40.00 a month for a 1.5 with boosts up to 2.5, and steady never had a problem in 2 years, the crazy part is they actually guarantee your minimum speed. Free install and equipment (as long as you return it when you are done) For all you Longview cats they're called Cascade Networks, look em up. Sorry for stealing the thread, I really hope you find something better, I know how frustrating it is.
  13. I know they can up and move but I don't know that this is how they go about it. For that matter I don't know that it's not. I can say that the last one of mine that died released it's feathers, which does not mean it is dying, cause I have seen them do that and grow new ones. But then it left the tube full of super nasty slimy stuff (dead worm), if you have ever pulled a dead carpet out of a tank then you know what this smells like, nothing is worse, I swear.
  14. Don't worry Mick, it will be here with your name on it.
  15. I think you will find that most of our shops around here supply some great rock and are pretty honest people to deal with. You really shouldn't have any problems. The problem you will have with cooking your live rock first is that it will get rid of all the "live" in your rock. It is the living organisms in the rock that make it beneficial to your tank.
  16. Yeah sounds scary, taking the tank apart sucks but at least you can rebuild the stand right:)
  17. Yes as Algae said, pretty much the less the better, there is nothing in there at this point that needs it, but as your tank cycles you will find that there will be nuisance algae that will start to thrive if given the light needed. Also try to add some live sand from an established tank and this should sped up the process by a lot.
  18. That pretty much sums it up:) however just keep in mind that something that doesn't work for other tanks might in yours and visa versa. Just keep trying things until something works. Macro algae in the sump will starve the algae of the nutrients they need to thrive as well, however I have never seen it work on that level.
  19. Here are a few that didn't make it into the last thread here http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15393&highlight=med+colonies Purple Maze brain colony 5-6 inches $60 Green brain coral 3x5+ $35 Blue green Acro colony 3x3 $20
  20. A size between would be awesome but the sugar size looks fine. Do we have anything to go off of other then a vinegar test for the material make up on this?
  21. Some urchins eat coralline algae and the coralline was inhibiting the growth of any other algae. So once that was gone the hair algae was free to take over. As long as you are not growing any sps you will be able to cut your lighting back, just do it slowly.
  22. Just make sure it doesn't get cold. I know with my tank the heaters are in the sump so when the pump goes out there is no heat supplied anywhere else.
