  1. Your always welcome, stop by anytime!
  2. We all know what they cost and they are new so make me an offer, just send me pm.
  3. Hey guys I setup a nano tank for my fiance only to find that her interest sizzled just about as fast as it started. I was thinking that if I got her into this, that it would mean great things for my home tank "greedy thinking" but it didn't work. She killed her Mandarin goby in no time flat and has left me to care for the tank. So now it goes. There are a couple of different types of xenia, 2 different types of Duncans, some mushrooms, paly's and star polyps, a small green sinularis and maybe a few other small things as well. Comes with cleaning crew consisting of misc hermits and snails. There is also a large boxer shrimp. This runs 2 compact florescent, has a magnet cleaner, net, bio rings and skimmer if you want it too. The lid has to be set forward to use the skimmer. The fan vibrates a little when it first starts up but quits 30 seconds later and has done this since I bought it. There are no scratches on the tank I also have lots of other zoos and paly's and others we can add to this if you want. I am asking 200.00 and am open to trades and offers as well.
  4. Hey there I was just wanting to know if anyone has ever tried the Garf method on a zoanthid tank. Meaning flourescent lighting and a completely unskimmed tank. I just recently set one up just like on their webpage, kind of like a science experiment. I will throw some pics of it up soon but wanted to know if anyone has ever tried this and what their opinion on it might be.
  5. They do both go through the same DI cartridge. The extra membrane is actully just a filter to get rid of any funky smells, really not needed but it came with the unit so I wasn't going to complain.
  6. I built a terribly efficient auto top off system for my tanks. I use float valves for my auto shutoffs. I have heard of people having problems before but I know me and few of my friends have been using them with no problems for years. I run straight from a freshwater inlet to a RO/DI system with a pressure gauge and into the top of a 55 gallon barrel through a auto shutoff "float" valve. From the bottom of the barrel I have an output line that runs directly to my sump through another shutoff "float" valve. It was super easy and under 50.00. I found all my valves and shutoffs from a seller on eBay that carried all of it. I can't remember his seller name but if I find it again I will repost. All of his valves and lines and everything were not only by far the cheapest I found but excellent quality as well. I found my drum from a guy on Craigslist for 20.00 who sells only reusable food grade containers like this. I had to rinse mine a few times but for the price who could complain. As you can see by the pics I built a small stand for my barrel out of some scrap wood I had laying around. This ensures I get a good gravity feed all the time. Hope this helps, probably more then you needed but I got carried away.http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/images/smilies/laugh.gif An important thing to remember though is that RO/DI sytems work best when they can flush out their filters by a steady rush of water coming through and since you are using at most probably only a couple of gallons a day it wont get that flush. I was able to solve this by putting manual shutoff valves as well on both lines and when the tank is full I shutoff the input line and let the barrel drain about half way "about a week" then I turn it back on and repeat. This also makes sure that I always have fresh water in my barrel.
  7. Hey guys I would love to do some trading here if anyone is interested. I have a ton of corals, SPS, LPS, softies, zoos, paly's, you name it. I am looking to trade for possibly some other corals but am mostly interested in a calcium reactor setup that can run up to 4-500 gallons. I also have some metal halide lighting to get rid of. The whole setup has honestly about 2 weeks worth of use. I found that this intensity of lighting was too much for the tank I was using it on so now I don't need it. All from sunlight supply and I have reciepts if you want to see them. 1 Galaxy 400 watt electronic ballast with 5 year warranty, Agrotech reflector with 1 400 watt 20,000K Ushio bulb. I do have a ton more corals then just what is shown here as well.
  8. I would love to trade with you, what are you interested in?
  9. Hey there If you are still looking then let me know. I am actually closing my tanks for a move and have almost everything you listed there to a T. I will cut you one hell of a deal and they are not all just frags either. The ones that are frags have been established for months.
