set up a 20 for fish only its 1 watt per gallon. from what i read thats enough for fish. i know it sounds low compared to my reef which is almost 5 per gallon. i know sun corals dont need light. is there anything else that could survive and do ok? i might ad another 20 watts. just wondering if anyone knows of anything

read this today. painted and set up a 20 gallon today black fusion. worked amazingly better than i thought looks great.(clap)

if those are what i think they are i have a bunch they come out at night in my tank. theve been there for sometime and currently my ntank is the nicest its been yet. soo if there what i have there prob not bad

too bad all the pictures of my tank from when i had my nice camera are the time i had cyano and hair algae(wife)

my tanks not ready to be revealed just yet but im hoping mid to end of summer it will be(whistle). i would love to see more tanks in the eugene springtucky area. mabey we could plan something for this area mid to lkate summer(clap)

had a carpet anemone for about 24 hours it stung my powder brown tang real bad and the tang was laying on the sand bed and and a snail crawled on him and bit his gill and there was blood and i was mad and i traded that sucker in 20 mins later

how long ago did you buy it if it was recently was it the smaller or the larger one i alost bought the smaller one there so nice. i ended up getting a sailfin.

im young myself but agree the new generation of youths is scary. some of the temp kids they have comein to my work.....man i cant believe them i probably would of just turned around.they probably thought they could make you bump into them with the car or that they could get you frustrated enogh to hit one then theyd try to sue you or something.(scratch)crappy situation you did the right thing by not backing away. once you were out and asked if they could move they should of just moved they were looking for some trouble. who knows what coulda happend if you turned away metal skateboard trucks probably would be just as bad as a gun or knife.way to keep your cool. its nice to see that there are still people out there that can

glass.im not sure how cracks work right now its as thin as a hair. probly just a SCRATCH IM HOPEING. BUT ITS JUST THAT I SWEAR IT WASNT THERE BEFORE

so i cleand my glass last night with the magnetic scraper as usaual then sat there checking stuff out for a while,no probles. then today i cleaned the glass and noticed what is either a crack or a scratch on the inside in the middle of the front pain of glass. i realize i may have scrATCHED THE GLASS WITH A SmALL PIECE OF SAND OR SOMETHING CAUGHT IN THE MAGNET. BUT I THINK I WOULD OF SAW IT. its almost 2 inches. but theres a gap in the middle and someone told me if its a crack it would be solid. but what if its 2 cracks. 40 gallons on the floor in m upstairs apartment would not be good. my g/f wont let me buy another tank till we are sure its a crack.so i marked the front of the glass with a marker and hopefully it wont grow by the time i wake up tomarow.(scary)im scared. i hope its a scratch(sad)

im sick of power compacts and from what i understand i should change the bulbs after 6 months. so times comeing up. and id rather buy mh than replace bulbs. i have a 40 breeder so 2 120s would be nice or a 250 or 2 250s. let me know what you got even if you just have ballast or just reflector or ballast and reflectors but no bulbs. im just trying to piece things together and sadly i am on a budget. i know halides and cheap dont go together but hopefully someone has old euiptment or is looking to upgrade soon. thanks much

the kenya tree and the pulsing i gave you should open up real n ice within a few days. and as for the sun corals make sure to feed em(wife). once there are all better and super healthy with pink encrusted all around the base it can get kicked to everyother night. so they say but i would still feed evrynight. you can try the bowl idea i told you about if you are worried about nitrates caused by overfeeding. if you have aq good clean up crew it should be no problem. good luck let me know hos stuff turns out i will also say dsoz is a gentleman and a scholar

as far as getting small frags of the ones you listed let me know if you come across anyone with greenbaypackers. that one is amazing and id give an arm and a leg to own one

i currently have a 40 gallon breeder with a canister filter a hot filter and a skimmer. im sick of seeing all the tubes and lines rAN everywhere! its not my style. i have no sump,partially because im scared of one flooding my apartment, my upstairs apartment! i have an extra 20 gallon siting here and im thinking of setting it up as a sump and hiding everything. we are also thinking of movvveing the aquarium to another part of the apartment where it will be a better permanent location. so around this time would be ideal for drilling nit for bulkheads and such. surely someone can help to point me in the direction the drilling the tank is the part my g/f is scared of but i know they can be drilled. has anyone in eugene done it or can anyone in eugene help me. pretty much im looking for someone that can help me figure mout everything i will need to order and possibly help with install when time comes. of course beer and snacks would be available. im looking for like a month down the road. i want to get it to where all i have oiut on there tank is my light.i wana say this needs to be done on a budget but ie come to realize sometimes that not easy in this hobby. id prefer to order everything from one place so if someone wanted to help me do some shopping on http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/shop.cfm?c=3578 that would be awesome. there prices are good. and they have a lot. i just dont know what and how much of what i need. im a noob when it comes to this part please help ps if theres extra letters in here before words it cause my keyboard got mstepped on and types extra lettersDOH!

i was doing my normal routine of vsiting all aquarium stores in eugene today and at pettime on wet 11th they have a clam the sie of a football. it really is a cool site to see i would recomend seeing it in person. its really cool and something you dont see ever

heading up north i believe saturday to pick up a few frags. my tank is still young and bare. if anyone can spare any frags of anything at all. other than suncoralsDOH! i would really love to pick some up im going almost as far as portland and could probly go to portland.cheap is good. free is better. i dont have much so chances are if you have something you can frag even if its small or basic. it will help. i want to make the most out of this trip since gas prices are climbing. thanks shawn
