honestly the breeder is like my favorite tank its dimensions are bad *** its only 40 gallons but looks bigger than a 55. and i agree t5s are amazing and having 8 x39 watts is a very happy amount of light for any corals i have encountered so far. its funny when i first got the light i just set it on top the tank before i hung it and it completely covers the tank its like the same dimensions. the only thing i miss is moonlights(scratch). i need to get my old lady to clean my house(wife) so i can actually show people my tank someday.

updated pics after the new bulbs and amazing results. strangely i thought this feather duster was long gone i didnt see it for over 3 weeks and then it reapeard. strange. thriving zoas leather with little white polyps starting to sprout this monti is doing awsome these are the palys that changed color on me. twords the end of the days photoperiod there even more intense and deeper green nd this is the one that got me the most this super comon brown hard coral turned purple i hope it stays purple

so my wallet recently took a dive when i decided to replce ll 8 t5s on my teklight with geissmen bulbs(sad). ive probably been runing them for about 2 weeks now and the results well there makeing my jaw drop [language filter] near everyday. i decided to go with 1 actinic plus 1 midday and 6 aqua blue plus(plotting). color wasnt my main thing it was more for growth. and actually there is plenty of color for my liking. any ways now for the results. in 2 weeks time my gsp has started to grow like nuts,some of my zoanthids are spliting every other day, my rhodactus just split my leather is branching out more and sprouted out little white polyps which puts its previous low light assumption to waste,my monti has polyps now and for the cool part. im waiting to hear back from impur to confirm they were brown while he had them. but i had got these brown zoanthids from him for cheap they were pretty boring and i was about to get rid of them but they color morphed to a crazzy green center i cant find any like it and im really excited about it. also something really wierd i had this brow plain as could be sps rubble i got from josh forever go there super comon supposibly grow fast and you can buy a huge colony for like 15 dollars. well it turned purple like coraline algae dark purple and still has all its little polyps healthy as ever. strange things but very exciting i must say my tank is doing the best it ever has and probably will only get better with time. just wanted to share my news. ill try to get pics of the 2 color morphs up soon

thats bs about the water change thing! there is crazy extremely successful reef tanks that get water changes 2-3 months.i dont know why he would dothat.

dude thats my toothbrush(scratch). i use kalkwasser mixed to a paste with hot water and syringe and shoot it into the little buggers when they close round it they end up dead if you try to stab them theyl multiply.

ok so bought this today not sure if it is an acan or a favia. i and a few others are really leaning towards acan.anyways it is amazingly nuts to look at the color is indescribable its like coralline purple and after lights out for bit the mouths were pinkish. should be able to tell more after a few weeks, right now not sure if it hs long tentacles like a favia or shorter like an acan. i cant find either acan or favia like it at all after hours of searching. whats your opinions?

i go in there almost every week to check stuff out hardly ever buy stuff. when they first got those large colonys of acans they had color and wanted 500 bucks for one. now there beyond brown tissue has recided and they still want 200. seems like the 2 young guys know what there doing but there only there so often

awesome it looks amazing aquascaping is what its all about to me and you've hit the nail on the head with this one. lots of corals and stuff makes me want more(plotting).

i was tired of the rubish camera and decided to awad myself a trip to wallyworld. i am amazed at the pics this thing takes for 130 bucks. macro shots ftw(clap) i wil start with my favirote pieces of live rock(laugh) bubble coral cool shroom and there used to be a feather duster(sad) and the favia live rock(whistle) newly aquired maroon frogspawn. i was stoked to see its starting to branch in 3-4 spots(clap) new baby ric new pink birdsnest this guy is finnaly back from brown thatnk you t5's hermit these kick *** in moderation overall my new 130 camera is sweet.

the anemone i bought almost dead and white with no bubble tips. since ive got it its grown,even under the power compacts. since i added the clown its got the bubble tips. and now i added an 8 bulb t5 light so it should be doing great soon. yes its alive its been recovering for sometime but its doing ok

not sure which post i found a 8 bulb t5 post but im still a bit lost.heres a question im striving to find the answer for at what range of kelvin is coral growth best? i realize coral growth depends on much more than light,like food water quality and so on. but ive noticed theres now even a 22k bulb.wouldnt a 22k bulb be like just color. whats the best like 10k? what are the yelow bulbs by guiesmann. it seems at one of the lfs there running 8 t5s and there just actinics and a day bulb. should i do that like actinc then day then actinic then day........ or do i need that many actinics should i do like an actinic a 6k a 10k a 15k. i know everyones opinion wil vary just looking for a litlle help in the right direction.impur what bulbs are you running in what order? u actually have a shimmer like 6 inches down which is awsome.
