  5. ive been in the process of setting up a cold water for while now. its still in the build stage but your setup is very inspiring(clap)
  6. use chemi-clean to get rid of it completely then find out why you got it to long of a photoperiod? too much feeding is the tank close to direct sunlight? all of these? most will say not to use a product like chemi cleAN BUT IVE DONE IT 2 TIMES WHEN THE CYANO GOT WAY WAY WAY OUT OF HAND THEN when its gone you can do what you can so it wont return.
  7. best montiporas ive ever seen love the green one the growth is awsome how long did it take to get like that and how big was it when you got it?
  8. how do you frag echinata acans? do you just have to break a chunk of it off it seems like instead of individual heads its more like an encruster, but its my understanding that it is not. anyone ever frgged this coral?
  9. this has got to be my favorite coral to photograph
  10. a eugene meet(clap). its about time,im so excited(scary)
  11. its crazy sporadic growth is really cool some large mouths some small very nice specimen.
  12. oh the skimmer is off a cadlights nano system i dont really know much about it i think it was for in sump but i cut the base up so it could hang on the tank its not very quite because it kinda shakes/makes rattle type of noises because its hanging on the tank ma bey if i took some rubber or something between it nd the tank it would deaden the sound.i plan to order an octopus 3000 needlewheel pump soon to really get this thing whipping.
  13. there 8x39 watt all Geissman i have 1 power chrome midday 6k,1 power chrome actinic plus+ 22k,and 6 power chrome aqua blue + 15k. i guess the reasons for me deciding on t5s was, the heat, they put out less heat than halide and i definitely didnt want to run a chiller or have it get even hotter than it already is in my apartment, bulb life t5s seem to last longer than halides, with the amount of bulbs being ran on the t5 system the spectrum of light can be tweaked a lot more by using different bulb configurations, and most of all the perfect fixture popped up for sale and sealed my decision.
  14. looks good id love to see more pics(clap)
  15. this seems to be a problem i have with liquid sunshine as well. one time i went there and there was a sign that said be back in 10 mins on the door.i went to the bank real fast and when i returned there was a sign that said be back in 1 hour. so i left came back an hour and 30 mins later and no one. then some guy came to deliver package waited with me for about 5 mins and told me they do this all the time they go down to the bar for little then ended not coming back or closing early.
  16. im assuming 20 each . there usually a considerably lager price.
  17. finally a excuse to take tons of pics(clap)
  18. bump amazing price wish i wasnt poor yet again
  19. id win the aiptasia challenge hands down ive got a few monsters in the back of my tank i cant reach.sorry for thread jacking
  20. it is the canon powershot a470 available at your local wall mart for 130 dollars. i highly recommend this camera to anyone with an aquarium or anyone that likes to do any macro closeup shots. i used to have an Olympus digital slr that was almost a grand and have been struggling to take any pics that were close to clear with a point and shoot. then i went to best buy and circuit city and last of all wall mart just playing with the macro settings on point and shoot digitals under 400 dollars. and this is the one i am telling you theres no better for the price and it could not be easier to operate. the trick is it has whats called super macro mode. its like a macro of there macro.if stuff was closer to the front of my tank it would take even better pics. 130 bucks(rock2)
