I have one very similar. Cant remember the brand name off hand, but it was purchased at waves. Works great, and cleans up some of the wiring mess.

I had a similar situation over my Solana. In my case, it was just my preference of color. I really enjoy the crisp colors the blue spectrum puts out, even though the growth is slowed a bit. Origionally I had a 20K ushio, that seemed very pale to me. When it came time to buy a new bulb, I went with a 14k phoenix. Much bluer and better par, based on others findings. I couldnt be happier.

I think Ill add it to my wife's coffee tomorrow morning. She probably wont even notice, with all the other crap she puts in there. Thanks for the info, guys. I guess Ill try to build my pod population up again and siphon away when needed.

I have a couple questions regarding the silt that builds up in the sump. First off, what is it and where does it come from. I have tried sponge and filter socks, yet it still gathers over the course of a few weeks. Second, is there a critter that I can throw in there that will mow it down? Hermits and snails? For now all I have running is a Solana, and the back chamber is what I am concerned about, but I am setting up a small frag tank in the garage, and want to figure out the best way to keep it clean. The bulb combo that worked for me was all guiseman(sp?). I ran 2 power chrome aqua blue plus and 1 powerchrome pure actinic. Double that combo and you should be good. Heres what the tank looked like...

Dont get me wrong, I like Silva and respect his style, but to me he was a little too cautious to be as entertaining as he usually is. The last round is what I think he should have done in the third. I am growing to like Kongo"s style, but I fear someone will figure him out sooner or later and take him to the ground in a bad way.

Well, I guess it could have been worse. Chuck Liddell is now (unofficially) out of the UFC. Apparently he and Dana White had a discussion before the fight, and Dana told him if he didnt win, he was out. We shall see. Silva finally went the distance, but in uneventful fashion. Five rounds of stalking is not my idea of an exciting fight, but a win is a win. It was funny how frustrated he got after Leites kept trying to get the fight to the ground. Just sharing my thoughts...
