Do you want just a glass top, or something with a hinge? I can cut and polish glass. Otherwise, the meeting is in Albany, Im sure Roger has a couple hinged ones laying around(whistle)
5 gal every week, when Im not busy, every 2 weeks when I am busy. I have a 34 gal,, and do not add anything else. I plan on hooking up a kalk reactor so I can go longer.
Yep, kinda. They knock over corals more than rocks, but some are attached to smaller rocks. I have two big turbos that are a menace and will be moving on very shortly. They were transferred from my other tank
Depends on what in there. Gobies, urchins, snails and hermits love to knock my stuff over. The more secure you make it in the beginning, the better off youll be in the long run.
I thought of that, but I was worried the skimmer would thin out any pods that may return to the tank for food. I guess pods arent THAT important though, on this small a scale.
There is a mod that can be done in the solana owners thread at RC. Not the cleanest looking thing, but I guess it would work. Personally I will be getting a tunze 9002 when I can afford one, with the stevie t cup(clap)
Maxi jet 1200(whistle)
Ive heard a quiet one 2200 was used on one, and im sure there are more, but I cant think of any. The only thing I didnt like about quiet one pumps, is that they are not self priming.
I dont have a pic now, but here are some options. I went with a 1/2" cross reed. Any glass shop should have these on display.

Yes you can tint the glass, however, it may be easier to just replace the glass with a tinted panel. My glass shop charged me $12 to cut a piece of obscure class. It was installed in about 2 minutes. There are small metal tabs on the inside of the door that hold it in place(like a picture frame). Bend the tabs back and you can even take the glass you have to the shop so they get the size right.
