  1. PM me your cell # and I'll send some pics
  2. I have a 65g tall with a stand that holds water. Would need a plug drained from the closed loop but thats a couple bucks at HD
  3. Order sent it. Waiting to hear back from them on arrival date.
  4. My pay pal is kpfrenzel@yahoo.com. Please send the funds for the size you want and $10 for shipping by 10am tomorrow. Frank, and Andrew are in + me so the shipping is $10 a piece. I'll order tomorrow
  5. How many you want Frank? What size. If anyone else is interested let me know. Pick up will be in Oregon City. If you don't pick them up soon and they die, it's on you. Shipping will be split between the amount of participants. I will place the order Tuesday. Get to me before then.
  6. Hey Man Welcome Back! Nice to see ya back around
  7. I think I have the two sold, but I had another one just move to a spot in the display I think I can grab him if ya want one.
  8. He works really cheap too I hear. You can pay him with glass anemones and Emerald Globe Algae... Nothin but love for ya Andrew
  9. I'd go in for a couple. It looks like shipping is about $40. Anyone else interested in a few?
  10. I am in Oregon City. Mid day works for me. I get around for work quite a bit and could potentially meet somewhere too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Tank certainly looks good though! Do they mount directly to the back there? How loud are the fans? Any color control?
  12. Phosphate is not a bacteria, it is actually consumed by bacteria. So to follow the reasoning a lower temp would slow the metabolism of the anaerobic bacteria and they would consume less phosphate leaving your system with more residual phosphate. The actual rate of reproduction of those bacteria's at a degree or two difference until you reach 73F is negligible. So basically if your doing it for phosphate, then it's not gonna do a damm thing. Sorry. It does make the heat bills and the reef fog a little less in the Winter. I ran my system at 76F for years and never had a problem. Over the summer I tried bumping it up for awhile to 82F, but really didn't see any difference so I dropped it back down. I leave my heaters set for 76F but the tank can get up to 81F or so during the day/week before any of the cascading measures kick in. For me I think most of this is based in the electronics being kept in the stand. Lucky for us in the world today there is a ton of information on how temperatures affect coral and basically to sum a few hundred pages I have read up, if your always the same, it is less forgiving, but if your tank has regular swings the corals will tolerate the regular swings. When diving on reefs you will often get a cold current or warm current come through a reef with a several degree difference pretty quickly. (Yes when it is warm I look to make sure there is not another diver next to me dosing ammino acids on the reef) A Mg level of 1750 is nothing to worry about. It is high, but number of Mg that high have not shown an affect on corals. High Mg is actually used to treat some forms of algae in SPS tanks and has been for years. Nothing to worry about there. Since your using a reactor I would be curious where that number is coming from. If you are doing frequent water changes it could be your salt mix is above NSW in Mg so your water changes could actually be dosing mg. Werid huh. Did you ever start Carbon Dosing? If you did then the phosphate binders would inhibit the productivity of carbon dosing. It might be better to skip those and just to up your daily dose by a mil or 3 to see if you can kick start those anaerobes into consuming some phosphate for ya. That is what I would do myself.
  13. I got to 2200. No losses. Other then the things you know there is not much else you can do. Just make sure your water changes are clean water, run some GFO if your not vodka dosing. I found bumping up the flow to be essential to keeping my tanks clean. Try to feed as little as possible. If all the corals are healthy sometimes cutting the lights back for 3 days can help a bit. Good luck Bud.
  14. I was able to get 2 out of my tank, the other couple are still stuck. They are both over 8" when fully open, one of them quite a bit more. Looking for $30 a piece. Had the mother colony for over 10 years. These splits are all over 1 year old.
  15. Seriously! Not the right time for me since I just had a life priority change, but man if this were last year this thing would already be at my house. 2 tanks with a sump... I could rock that. Someone is going to get a steal!
  16. The sump I have now is just to small, doesn't work. I need something with at least 13" of water height in the skimmer chamber and preferable under 30" long. If you have something your looking to get rid of let me know. Can trade coral or other equipment. Also cash.
  17. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU TOOK IT DOWN Man, was their a memorial service I missed? I didn't even get to say good bye. . .
  18. 19... No I run an EB8 and an EB4. I conserve some plugs by using powerstrips for things like lights/fans, CAreactor intake/mixer, all dosing pump, etc etc. I actually have a free spot I am going to use and put a carbon reactor on stand by.
  19. If you could PM me or text me his number as well that would be awesome. I have my eye on a couple sumps for a current and soon to be tank, but I can't find anything that will work the way I want for the cube. Very much appreciated.
  20. I use 3 ebo jaegers. They are all over 10 years old. I like my tank at 79-80 so I have one set at 76, one at 78, and one at 80. All three have their own built in thermostats. All 3 are controlled by my Apex unit to shut down if the tank hits 82. I have been did it this way sans Apex for about 8 years and never had a problem, but with the Apex why not set it up like that too.
  21. I'll get in line for the seaswirls too. Need a price

    DIY

It's easier to just drill the tank.
  23. Thanks Buddy. Ya my colony grew to about 8x8" and 3-5" tall in spots. I saw something wrong, but was busy, couple days later it was gone. Bummer. Grew that thing for 3 years.
