  1. Had a CPR aquafuge loved it so much I built a 20g gravity fed refugium. I placed it on shelves next to the tank. Quite the collection of pods in that system.
  2. I wouldn't mind sacraficing the 2" so much to make it a 34g (I know they call it a 37g) if it knocks off the price significantly, but the AGA tanks don't come with overflows right. I could do the overflow box but I would prefer built in that drains out the back. I would prefer glass, but acrylic is fine too. Thanks for the tips. I appreciate it.
  3. Hello again. I am fairly new to the area and have been looking for a 30x12x24 tank for seahorses. I have asked 5 shops for quotes on a system, only one responded and the quote was kinda on the high side IMO ($348 before the overflow hole, they didn't do boxes). Any ideas on where to get a tank this size, or have it made? Where I moved from they are common in LFS's not a "custom" item. Tanks for any help. I really appreciate it. I don't know of any other options up here. Thought about glasscages.com but worried after all the bad reviews.
  4. I didn't know you sold bumpers. (naner)
  5. The Cannon Camera's have a sports mode which allows for continous bursts and will focus and track an objet, like a racecar. For races you really need a wide open apperature, even the 1.4f is pushing it
  6. Seahorse, specifically reidi.
  7. That lens sucks. So does the kit lens that is the 18-55 3.5f. The Rebel is a good line of camera, whether it be one of the older ones an xt, or an XTi, but the kit lenses are that cheap for a reason. If she is serious about shooting wedding go with a rebel, but the minium lens your going to be able to get away with is the 24-85mm 3.5 and even that is kind of a stretch but the price of $400 is much less then the industry standard lens which is the 24-70mm f 2.8 Using a lessor lens shooting a wedding can present problems with clarity, ability to focus in low light, and over all image quailty. The optics are just not there. Your gonna get yourself sued shooting weddings if you don't pick up a good lens. They sell a 50mm fixed f 1.8 lens for under a undred tht is alos nice, but not as cool as the 1.4. The optics are different as well as a stop short. I've used the Nikon D1X and the Fuji S3 and was happier with the rebel overall for color quality and the ability to edit and blow up images. Skin tones seem to be better on the Rebel, after you switch the parameter setting to Parameter 2 so the contrast and brightness is not altered in camera. I also recommend shooting on Adobe R G B on any of the forementioned cameras. I do like the Nikon better in lower light scenario's but the Cannon line overall. The XT is a good camera and fairly durable IME. I have taken over 200,000 pics with mine with no problems. If you can't guess I'm a photographer to pay the bills.
  8. I'd like to be added too kpfrenzel@yahoo.com
  9. IME Diamond goby and lawn mower blenny were fine together in a 65g.
  10. I have read that most produce is not good to put into saltwater tanks because of the chemicals used to grow it. They can become trapped in the leaves. Fine for humans, but dangerous for fish. This is why Nori is typically recommended as well as for nutritional profile. Sorry just from memory, there are a cobweb or two up there.
  11. We can have the meetings at my house. Make sure to bring a frag for your meeting dues. I need to stock my tank. (whistle) When you move a 1000 miles away and talk to your old LFS owner more often then your mother.
  12. You can order directly from ReedMariculture.com as well. I have used the Artic Pods, the Phyto Feast, and the tiger pods all with great results. I believe Waves in Lake Oswego carries it now to.
