  1. Interesting concept...but how do you add acro frag into beaker without adding some water as well for true displacement? Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  2. Large is 18x12x12 Small is 11x10x13 Med is 16x10x11 They are from live aquaria. Free but if you throw acros at me, I'm ok with that too. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  3. I got lots. I feel bad throwing them away and they are taking up too much space in my garage. Free for the taking. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  4. Yes, I let detritus gather in my sump. Every 6-9months, I'll vacuum my sump. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  5. 5G as in new cell 5G beta network. I don't think we have that in Portland yet. Maybe you meant wifi 5ghz vs 2.4ghz. If you wifi router supports dual band, then you can have both 5ghz and 2.4ghz wifi signals. Depending on it's setup, they could have different SSID or same SSID. I recommend naming they differently so you can choose which wifi to connect to. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  6. Very clean look and nice setup. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  7. Those remind me of things from Dr Seuss. ;-) Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  8. Should be very competitive. I'm still sourcing parts. Tax time is taking up most of my time... frantically searching for my receipts for all my business expanses. Maybe if I get audited, I'll just hand over a bucket of receipts and have them sort it out. haha

  10. They don't bother gonioporas or the hammers when in frag tank either. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  11. So far the angels don't really bother sps. The Emperor nipped on my clam so I moved the clam to my connected back tank. I don't keep Zoas and only softie I have are mushrooms. When I got the emperor, I was surprised that it started eating flakes out of fingers on day 2. Regal took over a week before eating flakes from my finger. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  12. Too bad I didn't see this before. I would sell mine 235gal rimless and upgrade to bigger tank. That's if Jorge and Bret are up for helping me move the tank again. ;-) Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  13. My Emperor and Regal don't really interact together or cross paths much. So hard to get a pic with both of them. This is the best I got after stalking them for 30min.
  14. Nicely done. Which 3D printer did you end up getting?
  15. Playing with underwater camera case for Sony RX100 mark 2. Got some hits and misses on some goniopora selections. The ones I have now seems to be thriving. Some of my old acro that STN/RTN to a few polyps have grow back. Recently added a couple wild acro colonies, starting to color up a bit.
  16. Nitrate at 10ppm is not bad. If it does go up at consistent rate, I wouldn't distrub the sandbed. For small tanks, if you want to lower nitrate with water change, do like 90+% at one time. Just make sure the new saltwater is well mixed at least for a entire day in advance. You should match the salinity/temp and match major elements as close as possible. When we buy new fishes/corals, they go through 100% water change when they're placed into our tanks. However, if your nitrate keeps increasing, better to fix the cause before doing water changes. Any easy fix would be to dose volka. That's assuming you have a good enough skimmer. There are charts online for dosing volka instructions. Algae scrubber is another good option. ATS box can sit on the top back corner but might be too unsightly? Or a cheato reactor in the stand would be another option for AIO. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  17. I can donate a Monti frag or two. They have encrusted onto the bottom of my frag tank. I'll try to scrape them off in next few days without breaking into too many pieces. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  18. I want to show up early with some popcorn and see how the battle unfolds. hehe
  19. pH calibration should have 2 settings, slope and offset. If you can't adjust the offset and can only change slope, then use pH 10 to calibrate. If you can change the offset, pH 7 should register 0V, so you could just remove the pH probe and short the BNC male connector to adjust the offset. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk

  21. I saw some at Paradise Corals in Hillsboro. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk

  24. For now, I'm thinking the following spectrum: 395nm 410nm 430nm 450nm 470nm Lime Amber Red White Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  25. They will be sleeker flat design. Personally, I like the pendant look when hanging my lights above the tank without canopy. As Dodge mentioned, I will have a couple different new models. I would like the largest model to have 3 sections which could be expandable but I'm a bit worry about wear and tear of the electrical cables when forced in a confine space. I will release the fixed models first then spend time finding materials and testing cable harness.
