  1. Have you tried cleaning out the intake tube? There is a small plastic screw located at the top of the intake tube (inside the skimmer housing). Remove that screw and ream the tube with a small round stiff bristled scrub brush (power off of course). That should improve the performance of that model of skimmer.....maybe.
  2. The killer bunnies clip is a great touch. :-)
  3. My pair of true percs hang out in a green bubble tip.
  4. Try Wilco. Any feed store should have some tanks like that, or could at least point you in the right direction. Gehren's feed store on Orient drive(a few miles east of 282nd) in Boring.
  5. My Pacific blue Tang does the same thing. He will pick up small hermit crabs or empty snail shells and take them up to the top of the tank, and then drop them. I think that he is looking for 'pods to fall out, since he follows the shell down a little ways. His most disturbing habit is dropping things into my large bubble coral, mainly small frags that I have glued to pieces of rubble and sitting on the sand. I've lost quite a few frags to his playful antics.
  6. I'm just finishing setting up my 150, it's 60" x 24" x 24" which is a nice length. It still dominates the room, but it's not so large that it overpowers the other furnishings.
  7. I would like a frag of the orange with purple, have nothing to trade but money. If you have an extra frag of that O.R.A. SPS I would like a frag of that also.
  8. Good job. I have a bi-color blenny, never seen him do anything more then munch on algae. I wonder what made him go bad, and after everything we do for these fish.:P
  9. I like the traditional food stuffs on Thanksgiving. You know Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, cranberries, etc.... Oh yeah, don't forget the fresh baked pumpkin pie.
  10. We have a nice club with a lot of really nice and helpful people involved with it. We also have nice little website, where we can comfortably post without worrying about some nazi mod sending us a nasty e-mail. I like it like that. Remember... Don't rock the boat to hard, you might fall overboard. :P
  11. If the problem is air getting trapped in the bend of the tubes. Drill a small hole and glue in an airline nipple on each of the tubes, then run the lines together with an airline "tee" fitting. Then drop a powerhead into your tank and hook the airline to the aerating nipple on the output nozzle of your powerhead. This will draw any trapped air in your overflow tubes into the airlines and out the powerhead. Kind of like a poorman's aqualifter pump.
  12. Throttle back your pump with a ball valve.
  13. Mine's the same way, lots of waste water. That's how they work.
  14. Anyone up for a little Monday night chat?
  15. The comment "Pony up or shut up" was meant to be a joke. I'm sorry if you were offended by it. But it comes right back to the problem at hand. You want the benefits of membership without the outlay of money. The point I was trying to make was that twenty or thirty dollars is not a lot of money in this hobby.
  16. This is to the non paying members, and it's not to be taken harshly. The cost of membership is less then a browned out frag, you can't go to a LFS and buy a bag of sand for what it costs to become a member. I know you could feed a child for a year in some third world countries for what it costs to belong to this club. But we don't live in some third world nation. I like to cut corners and save a buck where I can. But as cheap as I am, I'm a paid member. Without paid members there would be no club, no web site. So I say to you all. Pony up or shut up!
  17. I'll drink the fifth on this one. But I agree with the geek.
  18. Dragon Wrasse. Very cool looking fish. The down side is that they sometimes gobble up your inverts.
