You can safely restrict the output on that pump, but you shouldn't restrict the intake.

That's the nice thing about this hobby, there's no cut and dried rules. Whatever works or looks good in your tank. After all it's in your livingroom.

Cool, I'm going to the coast tomorrow. North of Newport. Going to do a little fossil hunting while I'm there. After a storm is always a really good time to find them.

It sucks that all the really cool fish aren't reef safe.

A good rule of thumb is one lb. of live rock for every gallon of water. Aquascaping is one of the hardest parts of setting up a reef tank. IMO

Is the small washer like o-ring in place? You have to have a seal between the regulator and the CO2 tank, otherwise it will leak.
