There's a guy over at the reef tank that has a 120 for sale. He goes by the screen name piero. He's asking $650.00 or best offer for tank, stand, and hood. Seems reasonably priced to me.
I would go ahead and get the 120. That way you will be done buying tanks for a while. We all started out small, then bought bigger tanks. You might as well learn from our mistakes, go big and save all the time and money that we all wasted messing with tank upgrades. Plus the more system volume the easier to maintain stable water conditions.
Certain types of wrasses and dragonettes will eat flatworms. Don't forget murphies first aquarium law. "Any fish placed in your tank to perform a special function, won't."
He placed some closed cell foam under his sump, the stuff you'll use as a mattress out camping. And he used that plastic light diffuser paneling from home depot or lowes, commonly referred to as egg crate.
Plastic updraft tube.
I use it to feed my fish. It keeps the food from going all over in the tank, and by raising and lowering the tube I can regulate the amount of food that is released to the fish.
I use it for frozen, fresh and pellet foods, and you can make sure that every fish gets their fair share of food.
Take a 1 liter plastic soda pop bottle. Cut off the end with the cap, right past the taper. And invert it into bottle, and silcone glue(remove cap). Fill with aquarium water, place his favorite food inside. now sit back and wait, and wait, and wait.
It's a 1400 gal. reef tank. That's about all I know. I've seen the tank it's big. They have the water and rocks in it. But I'm not sure if the plumbing is done?
[language filter]!.... You guys do good work. I need a few things done around my place.
What are your hourly rates? I've seen what kind of work you two can do. Top drawer stuff.
Mr. Holmes, What kind of fudge is that? Why, salty my dear Watson.
Great detective work. I always run two thermometers. They sell those cheap little stick on ones for a dollar or two at most LFS.
I had one for a while. They are really smart and tons of entertainment. It was kind of like a dog, when you would go up to the tank he would come out to say hi.
If you don't feed them, they will devour all your livestock. I had mine in the 'fuge, he really worked over the snails and hermit crabs. There was always a little pile of shells outside the mouth of his cave.
I just go over and kick the neighbor's cat.
It doesn't cost me anything and it fells sooooooooooooooooo good.
Another thing to do would be to take it out on you spouse or girlfriend, watch out sometimes they hit back;)
Sorry......I couldn't help myself.
