    ORA Dragonets

Most of the stores in the area can order them thru ORA. They do have a minimum order so you will most likely have to be patient if you want one as the stores don't always order from them frequently.
  2. Rod's female onyx perc disappeared/died a little while back. I did see that he still had a few of the last batch of babies left a week or so ago. He never sold breeding pairs as far as I knew. He is a friend of mine and I can ask him if he still has any left if you want me to. Are you looking for a spawning pair or just a pair of onyx percs?
  3. Sounds like a ballast is shot. If you have tried swapping known good bulbs on the outside and they don't work I would believe that it is a dual ballast fixture. If you get a ballast I can help you put it in if you're uncomfortable with the electrical part. Is there 2 switches on the fixture by chance? One for the outer lamps and one for the inner lamps?
  4. You never saw a picture of my majano biotope did you ?
  5. I would be interested. We bought a new camera a few months ago and I love it but would like to know how to use it better.
  6. After looking at the AI site it doesn't look like the AI Sol has the dimming feature the nano has. In that case you will have to buy the controller. IMO you will love the effects and controllability the controller brings. You can have up to 14 different timers if I remember correctly and control all 3 colors indepently on time and intensity.
  7. Kate, doesn't the Sol have the dimming adjustments slides on the front of the fixture like the nano has? I know it is not the full controller effect but you should be able to dim them down and then just turn them off and on until you get the controller. I got the controller for my new cube with the nano sol and love it.
  8. But you are not "storing" the liquid Just stirring it up.
  9. Kate, The sol is far more customizable in terms of color and intensity. If you won the light you should look into the controller. I have the nano sol and with the controller it is a killer light. Have you tried playing with the colors and intensities yet? I have the controller, maybe if you wanted to you could come up and I'll it to you.
  10. My Battletag is Barelycuda#1422. Kind of sucks I have been playing the beta for a while and totally forgot to download the full game client :( so I am downloading now.
  11. I have not heard of them bothering corals but they most likely will go after your inverts especially shrimp.
  12. I just upgraded my video card from the radion 5770 to the nvidia GTX 560ti OC and all i have to say is wow. Big improvement.
  13. I have aptasia, green majano's and brown majano's. I'm not sure but I probably have some hydroids also You want some bristleworms ? I got you covered there also
  14. Very beautiful little tank. I just tonight bought a new tank for the living room. Downsizing from a 75g to a 27g cube so a new thread will be on the way.
  15. Kim & Beth. The tank is looking great. Can't wait to see it in person in a couple of weeks.
  16. Kate I do have it. Are you coming to the meeting on Saturday? If so I can bring it to you then or I can take it back to OIAB. I do wish the action of returning the majano's was a little bit more dramatic but I will admit it does work and I'm ordered one for myself. One thing to advise you on though is to read the instructions. You can only use this for a certain amount of time per 24hrs. based on tank size.
  17. I'll try to swing over tomorrow and pick it up. Thank you for letting me try it out.
  18. Mark, I do have some hydroids like that in the clownhouse. If I can borrow the one up in the couve I'll test it out for ya.
  19. I'd pay to rent it. If not that is ok also I am considering buying one now It would be cool to test it out first tho.
  20. Yes I have a Majano biotope aquarium in the living room. I sent a photo of it to Scott Fellman as he wants to add it to one of his talks I do want to get rid of them so I would be very interested to see how it works.
  21. crud I didn't even see this. I would have taken it right away.... Let me know is ghost doesn't take it.
  22. How are things going? Based on what you have stated above yes your dissolved oxygen levels should be their highest in the middle to end of your lighting cycle. While I do understand what you are doing until you remove your skimmer completely you are still skimming your tank. By reducing the skimming time you are allowing your system to start to pick up the additional load that the skimmer is removing but you will not know the full effects until at least a few weeks after the skimmer is taken offline completely. I know that it has been mentioned a couple of times above in this thread but skimmers do not remove nitrates. They do remove the proteins and organics that can further break down in the nitrification process and produce nitrates and phosphates but a skimmer does not directly remove nitrates....
