John Vinson
Is it possible to use the Apex Trident as a standalone unit, or is an Apex Controller required as well?
GreenJeans
You'll need an Apex control unit as well
SuncrestReef
The Trident requires the latest model of Apex (the 2016 model) or the Apex-EL. It is not compatible with the Apex Classic or older models. Apex: Apex-EL: See my Apex Hardware Overview article for more details on all the available Apex accessories: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/apex-hardware-overview.775/
TheClark
Highly recommend! Removes some major variables from reef keeping!
obrien.david.j
I love the instant access to trends from my Trident. I have only one regret... I wish it also measured Nitrate and Phosphate, so I don't have to measure those manually either. It's been a game changer of improving stability for me. ( I turn my Ca Reactor on/off based on Alk rising too high, I notice shifts in Mg faster, and manually add suppliments...)
Reefsakes
I couldn't get my original one to work so they tried to help me troubleshoot over phone and that didn't work so they sent me a refurbished one to send the one u got to get fixed but the unit they sent me still gives me test failure message
