  1. Frag swap was alot of fun, here's what I came home with
  2. Excited to finally see the reefi in action! And to finally make it to another one of these events (its been about 6 years)!
  3. I'll be there! Is there a Facebook page or something with more info?
  4. Well thanks for the input guys, we really enjoyed cuttlefish and woody's. Got an awesome leopard wrasse and a favia (which the owner threw in for free) at cuttlefish and grabbed a serpent starfish, a Halloween hermit, and some palys from woody's! We'll definately be back to both stores next time we're in town!
  5. Just went to cuttlefish, very nice store. They're holding a leopard wrasse for me. Tomorrow we'll check out woody's!
  6. Oooh great I didn't realize there were stores on the map, thanks again!
  7. Also we're staying out here for my 9yr Olds bday so if anybody has fun recommendations for places to take him that'd be great!
  8. Hey we're staying in Portland for the weekend, then we'll be heading back up north (passing through Vancouver, ect), I'll probably have time for 2 or 3 fish stores, what are the best ones around? Thanks!
  9. Awesome find! I've been on the lookout for one for a long time.
  10. Interesting, are the ingredients on it? I'd love to find an equivalent product that's not made for reefing
  11. We picked him up and Sierra Fish and pets in renton, WA. It was hard for them to let him go, he was like their pet. On the line item on my receipt they wrote "Harold ;( " lol
  12. Been looking for something fun to put in a dedicated species tank and finally found the one. He's a marine giant hermit crab and currently about the size of a grapefruit. Anyone else have any experiences with these? I've been in the hobby for almost 10 years now so finding something I havent seen before is rare, this was just too cool to pass up.
  13. I'm using 10lb line, my tangs aren't quite 10 lbs yet 😉
  14. Just got home from work and my dragonette was upside down with just his head poking out of the ywg pistol shrimp burrow. This wasn't a tiny lfs dragonette, it was a huge one I've had for years, sad day. I'm pretty confident the pistol shrimp took him out...
  15. Here's my tang proof algae clip, hangs from some fishing line and works great
  16. I may be interested in the rainbow bta and rock nem rock, do you have a good pic of them?
  17. I like reefbreeders led lights or you can get a couple cheap ebay black box leds. If it's gonna have a large bioload then I recommend a protein skimmer (reef octopus are great, or to save some $ sca aquariums make good skimmers). 2 200w heaters and an inkbird temp controller. An auto top off is a must! A couple of 800+ gph wavemakers (a little bigger if your planning on sps(hydor koralia are nice and cheap)). Return pump. I like a nice refugium for chaeto and pods so that'll need a cheapo plant led from Amazon. And lots of live rock! There's always more stuff to buy but that's a start
  18. I haven't clicked the link but I have heard this before about mp40 pumps and vinegar. From what I remember other brands were fine being cleaned with vinegar (correct me if I'm wrong). That being said if the acid is cheaper I'm in!
  19. So I have a seaweed clip with some mesh in it hanging by some fishing line and my urchin is just swinging around on it chowing down!
  20. I've got 2 black box leds, and I want a pendant or clip on (kessil style?) reef capable led for my aio 20g tank. I'd trade one or both of my lights depending on the deal. Also have a t5 fixture available and a big metal halide set up. I'm in Tacoma wa so we may need to meet halfway or do some shipping. Let me know what you have, thanks!
  21. Talkalot do you have 3 heaters plugged into one inkbird? How many watts? I've been wanting to plug a second heater into mine but am scared of frying the inkbird
