I think someone π is going to need a bigger tank soon lol. As for mine, I think they're done. After falling off the plug an ending up against my closed loop intake screen. They're all but gone at this pointπ‘ -

And they are lethal to pretty much every coral they can touch, so give it space lol

Looks like a plating form of hydnophora

Don't think it was a grow out, just a group buy

Well, had my first rookie mistake with this tank...been trying to figure out what was going on with my tank this week. Lesson learned: pay attention which bottle is which when you put the caps back on. Dumped 1/4 of the big BRS bottle of what I thought was magnesium into the tank. Discovered today as I was starting to set up my new-to-me doser that I had actually dumped in was the calcium component...π²

Duncans are easy. Just cut one of the stalks below the tissue using heavy cutters. As Emerald said, kind of like cutting a tree branch.
-
Heck yes. I'll need to pick some up before long anyhow
-
Not a lot to update as I've been busy, but a few things... 1. Replaced my now undersized vertex omega 130 skimmer with an 8" cone from RLSS. Loving it, a long with the Avast swabbie that it came with. 2. Also picked up a pair of 65g drums to set up a proper mixing station. Still need to do the plumbing on it. 3. And built up a stand for a future frag tank I'm considering building myself and mounted a DJ power station to expand my available plugs...π

That blasto is sexy...Cody needs to frag it up for us π -
Not sure I can help, but definitely pull the sand. It will add a ton of weight you don't need while trying not to drop your new tank lol. You can rinse it and reuse, but you will still get a bit of a cycle no matter what you do. Good to have some bacterial additives on hand to help.
