  1. Sorry to hear that, @zorroreef. Much like retail stores cannot set aside merchandise or limit purchases in the first hour for those arriving after that, neither will we require our vendors. We fairly offer tickets for entry at 10 AM to everyone, and you’re welcome to purchase one or pass. We’ve done this year after year and had zero complaints to date that there weren’t great corals available 11 AM onward. Event closes at 4 and has a fantastic selection till the end.
  2. Yay, turns out you can watch it on the PBS app! Some of us no longer have actual TVs and watch everything on tablets/laptops/etc.... When guests ask where my TV is, I point to the aquarium.
  3. Yes, still available. Just send the $10 payment to paypal@pnwmas.org
  4. 12’ish and younger are free. Teenagers (especially those in the hobby), we appreciate the $5/person entry fee.
  5. Our treasurer will be verifying the payments, so I’m going to check them all at once with him tonight. When you’re logged into PayPal, it will show your recent payments on the home screen. As long as it’s there, you’re good. (Anyone we don’t see will get a heads-up/chance to pay before losing their spot.)
  6. Yeah, I caught that. They’re on the list just one each.
  7. Please make sure to give your username when making payment! There’s an area to make the note through PayPal. Makes it easy to match up who has paid.
  8. Are you wanting 3 tickets? Totally fine, just want to make sure.
  9. Open to everyone at the same time. No need to be a supporting member, but those coming from Facebook should go ahead and register on this forum (it’s free) - that way, they have a login that allows them to comment here on sale day.
  10. Looking good, Mrs. W! We'll get you into the program and help you out. @TheClark - will you please add a section for Harvey Clarke Elementary School in this area? http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/forum/179-current-schools/ Might as well move this thread over to it, as well. I'll PM you with further details, @MrsW_3rdGrade. Glad to have you!
  11. Just now saw this, so giving you a bump. My tank is still on "summer mode," which means it's nearly been abandoned and is full of algae. I doubt I have anything worthy to give, but I imagine other members might. Would love a picture of how the tank is coming along.
  12. 2019 Frag Fest Early Bird tickets will go on sale Monday, September 30 at 10 AM. The Early Bird ticket gets you into the event at 10 AM on October 5, an hour before everyone else. Limited to 35 spots. Comment below to get on the list, then make sure to send your payment of $10 per ticket to paypal@pnwmas.org by the end of the day. Include your forum username in the notes section when paying. I'll verify payments on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and email your ticket. Any tickets not paid for at that time will be offered to those on the waiting list. Early Bird ticket holders: 1. Happiest Camper - Ariel, ticket emailed 2. Happiest Camper - Mitch, ticket emailed 3. 13. I changed the title of the thread at the request of a club officer discussion. It’s nothing personal and obviously worked brilliantly as a way to keep the convo from turning too political... 🙄 The problematic crab was removed from the discussion altogether. That was not my doing, but I’m hardly crying over it. If anyone is just dying to post inflammatory responses, I hear Facebook is a good place for that.
  14. Welcome! The program typically sets a classroom up with a beginner tank and some livestock, and teachers often take it from there with the help of local shops and forum members, many of whom are happy to donate corals. Since you’re already set with a tank, the program could help you with other needed items. Do you have a refractometer? Test kits? A light? Ten gallons is a small start and will limit your fish options, but I’m sure you’re aware of that since you’ve had salt tanks before. The kids can still get a lot of enjoyment out of what will fit in there. Corals and inverts will definitely take center stage. Glad to have you here! We love seeing tanks in classrooms, especially as they progress and blossom.
  15. Oh, man, a former client where I work sells those human hamster balls. Too bad they aren't with us anymore to send a discounted sample! 😆 See everyone soon!
  16. Let’s all wish @albertareef a cake-filled day of fun! The trick is to start lying about your age in the upward direction early, so everyone is constantly amazed at your youthful vibrance! Have I mentioned I’m 76? 😆
  17. Thanks for the heads-up @lewisriverfisherman. Tanks for Teachers has stopped taking used equipment in most cases due to issues with storing items before use and higher failure rates once they’re in use. I’m sure someone here could make good use of this, though.
  18. I’ll be there! Love a good summer party. ☀️
  19. Should be July 27th based on the text invite Jim sent me. Sorry I will miss this one, but duty calls - and by duty, I mean a big party someone invited me to weeks ago. 😆 My summer calendar always fills up fast. Bummed to miss it, but anyone who hasn’t been to Natalia’s before is in for a treat! She painted amazing reef themed murals in her garage and has her tanks packed denser than you thought possible.
  20. Sorry I will miss this one. My dog is on his last few weeks and needs my care. Everyone have a great time at the beach for the both of us!
  21. Closing the thread. Nothing harsh meant by it, but majanos are not considered desirable livestock by any major wholesalers or retailers, so I don’t think selling/trading them on the forum is a good idea. Plenty of other stuff we can all trade and stay friends over.
  22. Great photos, Dodge! Fun party, as always, and holy delicious tacos! Mmmm.
