  1. I'm so sorry to see this Holly. That is my worst nightmare. That's similar to what happened to Garrett's taller version of that tank, right? Kudos to all of you for helping Holly out. I know she would have done the same for any of us. Good luck with your next steps! Andy
  2. Sorry I have been MIA recently. It has been a killer spring at work. The tank is doing fantastic. The Acropora continue to grow like crazy. I was fortunate to be able to find some used ReeFi Unos and I added a second row in the back. As you can see in the previous posts in this thread, the corals did well with 5 Unos over my ReeferXXL 750, but I wasn't getting the coverage I wanted along the back of the tank. And by adding a second row, I could also turn the channels way down. With the channels turned down to 60% and the two rows, the coverage I am getting is amazing. So far the corals are enjoying the new conditions.
  3. Hi All: I have a few more Oregon Tort frags available. I'll be at the Cuttlefishandcorals party tomorrow (5/15), and I will be leaving Corvallis at 10:00 am. So, if you are interested in a frag, please paypal me before I leave for Portland tomorrow. Frag 1 $45: SOLD TO JARMITAGE Frag 2 $40 Frag 3 $40 Pending to Parzifal
  4. He said he didn't because he didn't want the manufacturers coming after him. But he did say that the bacteria-in -a-bottle products do not show up in his microbiome results in tanks that use them, which suggests that they do not persist in the tank very long.
  5. From Eli's article on Reef2Reef: "I used Ciprofloxacin at 0.125 mg / L. To achieve this I dissolved a 500 mg pill in 50 ml of RODI water, producing a 10 mg / ml solution (which I subsequently stored in the fridge). The aquarium system has 70 gal volume altogether (~265 L), so I added 3.3 ml of this solution to achieve 0.125 mg / L. I repeated this dose every 2 days for 3 doses altogether." If you would like help with the dilution, just send me a direct message.
  6. Hi All: I'm leaving Corvallis at 10 am. If you want me to bring your frag and you have not sent Paypal yet please do so. Lexinverts1 at gmail.com Thanks!
  7. I have lots of chaeto I can bring. I don't have the Utters, Rainbow infusion, or rastas.
  8. Hi All: I am thinking of adding another row of ReeFi Unos to my display tank, since the corals are getting really big and starting to shade each other out. The 2 feet front to back on my RSR750 is a little too much for a single puck when you start to get a forest of SPS. After cannibalizing the Unos off of my frag tanks, I am still short uno, Unos. So, if anyone has an Uno they are willing to part with, I will buy it from you. Thanks in advance! Andy
  9. Thanks for the correction. I had it on the wrong day on my calendar!
  10. PayPal $40 to lexinverts1 at gmail.com and I will hold it for you. You can pick up at the meeting at Kim's. Thanks
  11. SCROLL DOWN FOR A FEW MORE AVAILABLE FRAGS. I gave the Oregon Tort colonies a haircut a few weeks ago, and I have some nice chunky frags for sale. See the numbering in the first picture below. Prices are listed below for each frag, 1 to 10. I am located in Corvallis, but I come to Portland sometimes. I will be coming to the April 2cnd club meeting at @Emerald525's place, so I can bring frags to the meeting. PayPal holds your frag. You can see my tank thread here: 1 - $45 (sold to Micah) 2 - $45 (sold to Dave O'Brien) 3 - $35 Sold 4 - $40 Sold 5 - $40 Sold 6 - $40 Sold 7 - $40 Sold 8 - $35 Sold 9 - $40 Sold 10 - $40 (pending to blue_collar_fish_keepers)
  12. Doesn't it get orange in higher light though?
  13. Got it. The Oregon Mummy Eye is more orange, and right?
  14. I keep favias, gonioporas, pectinias, chalices, lobos, etc along with my SPS. All of those SPS you got from me came from a mixed reef system. Here's my reef under royal blues. I shoot for nitrates of 8-15 and phosphate of .08-15. When I keep things in that range, everything thrives. I actually dose Neonitro to keep my nitrates up and I use Rowaphos to keep my phosphate down.
  15. Quanta pro tropic sun is an inexpensive light bar option Www.quantareef.com
  16. The Quanta Reef Bars are solid and are a good deal. I have 4 of them on my frag tanks. They would probably be a good supplement along the sides for what you come up with for your main lights. Daniel's ReeFi lights are the ones that I run over my display. They are a much better value than Orpheks or Radions. They are about 40% cheaper and have a 3 year warranty. The ReeFi Unos are out of stock right now, but the Duos are still available for $650 each (with a coupon) and are equivalent in wattage, par, and spread to the much more expensive Radions and Orpheks. Take a look at my picures of 10 months of Oregon Tort growth under ReeFi Unos. I love 'em!
  17. Who said the Oregon Tort was a slow grower?!? Check out 10 months of Oregon Tort growth under ReeFi Unos:
  18. Don't forget those IPAs that you usually bring! 😀
