  1. I've got some big Bali Green Slimer frags. That's a good to start over with.
  2. Hi All, This is just a reminder that you absolutely don't want to miss the April meeting at Woody's Seahorse and Aquarium Supply! We will be raffling off a ReeFi Uno 2.0 Pro, and supporting PNWMAS members get a free raffle ticket just by showing up! This is my favorite light, hands down. See a picture below of my display with ReeFi 2.0s below.
  3. I have it. I am very underwhelmed. Two of three things that I glued with it came detached within a few weeks.
  4. Hi everyone, We are looking forward to having our next meeting on Sunday April 23rd from 1-3 pm at Woody's Seahorse Aquarium and Supply. 106 NE Russet St, Portland, OR 97211 We'll have food and drink and lots of good reefing conversation. We're planning a fragging demonstration for the meeting (more on this soon), and we will be raffling off a ReeFi Uno 2.0 Pro! Club members will get a free raffle ticket when they arrive to the meeting and a 10% off coupon for livestock purchases on the day of the meeting! We'll post updates to this thread as we finalize plans. If you think you will come please RSVP below so we can bring enough food. Hope to see you all there!
  5. Yes, I have frags of a goni I call red wine. It is fluorescent red and hardy. I can bring a frag to the next PNWMAS meeting on April 23. Send me a PM for more info.
  6. ReeFi Uno 2.0. I haven't seen anything else that I like as much as these lights.
  7. Nopox is a good way to bottom out your nitrates.
  8. In my experience, dinoflagellates can come when you have higher phosphate than nitrate. If your nitrate is 0 and your phosphates are .06, that could be the issue. Skimmers are good at reducing nitrate but not as good at reducing phosphate. In my systems, if I don't dose nitrate, I end up with phosphate higher than my nitrate like you have. I recommend getting a high range Hanna checker for nitrate. Then dose nitrate until you get to about 5-10 ppm. You can use Neonitro by Brightwell, or make your own solution from sodium nitrate. Good luck!
  9. It's probably dinoflagellates. What are your water parameters? Specifically, what are your nitrates and phosphates?
  10. I've got some of the Bali Green Slimer (the original with big polyps). I can bring a frag for you to the next PNWMAS meeting on April 23rd.
  11. Tank is doing well, despite some cyano on the sandbed.
  12. Thanks for hosting, @obrien.david.j! I enjoyed seeing your system again and had a great time!
  13. Come also for a good chance to win an Oregon Tort frags. https://www.pnwmas.org/forums/topic/52243-march-2023-pnwmas-meeting-12th/
  14. FYI: This is the legendary Reefgen Justin's Green Goniopora that is the hardiest and fastest growing goni I know of in the hobby.
  15. I'll bring UV sterilizers and a chiller
  16. No, I have that many so I can turn them down low and get really good coverage with no shadows for my SPS. I used 5 Uno 1s for about a year as my SPS grew out.
  17. ReeFi Uno V1 and V2 combo going strong!
  18. I've got Beach Bum monti and I am coming to the Sunday club meeting.
  19. We have data from Aquabiomics that shows it does not harm the good bacteria at the doses that Chris, Jake, and you used. It works very similarly to low doses of Cipro, and targets bad bacteria like Arcobacter and those that cause SCTLD. You can see in the microbial community graph below that before treatment my tank community was dominated by the bad bacteria (large orange bar) and after treatment it looked much more like a typical reef tank microbial community (even representation of many different bacterial groups).
  20. I'll be there. Looking forward to it!
  21. Witch hazel is not very effective in my experience. I would use Oxolinic Acid. I can send you dosing details when you source some.
  22. Have you tried dosing Iron? I was having an issue a while back and it turned out that I was deficient in Iron. Within 3 days of dosing Iron, the dinos disappeared. My latest challenge is dealing with Cyano.
